So, go to Europe.  But, that is changing there too.

Just responding to someone wondering about European passengers. Maybe read the thread 😉

Your rights end where mine begin so no, smoking should not be allowed because it is not contained. Besides the smell, it causes health issues to non-smokers, short and long term in some cases.

I have a right to swing my fists and shoot a gun, so it is o.k. if I connect with/to someone else? Hmmm

Does this same scenario work with vaccines and masks? Just substitute smell, smoke, short term and long term exposure affecting someone else health with .... oh I don't know.... corona virus

No it does not- if you get vaccinated you should be fine and not affected. How about passing on the flu- does everyone get a flu shot? Did anyone every care before about someone else getting a flu shot, or other vacs? Fact is without antibiotics I'd die if exposed to cigarette smoke from the subsequent infection. Some people have asthma. Some get ling cancer.

Maybe everyone should stop smoking, lose weight, and learn to drive because I pay for that via higher insurance rates. We can play all day here.

Both smoke and virus go thru masks....    it is simple size... stuff.

Next time you have some sort of surgery, would you rather the surgeon wear a mask or you don't care?

The title to this thread is totally misleading.  The OP makes it sound like it is a done deal that smoking will be reinstated to balconies.

That is certainly not the case and the title needs to be changed to avoid confusion (and anger).

Smoking is still widely accepted anywhere outdoors in Europe. Pool, park, balcony, etc.

I don't know where you get your info.  Smoking is rapidly being restricted in Europe.

Wouldn’t it make sense to allow smoking on balconies again rather than encouraging people to congregate in designated areas such as casino or on deck? Maybe temporarily allow and then remove once social distancing restrictions lifted.

-non smoker

Fire hazard.

Happy April 1st to you.

Pretty sure only OP can request title change

I did read the thread.  Maybe I was just responding to what you wrote. Got it?

The problem with that is that if you're on your balcony and a neighbor is smoking it blows right to you

So won't Covid 19 blow right to you as well? And because it does masks should be worn on balconies?

Not only do I believe this would never happen, I foresee a ban on smoking in the casino (kind of difficult to smoke and wear a mask).
