Looks like all June sailings are cancelled

Recommended Posts

Virgin is sending their ship to UK for sailings starting in August. Doesn’t seem like a July start up for US departures is in the future, at least in their eyes.

Lift and shift offer is +/- 2 weeks, same embarkation port, same length of cruise and same cabin category.

On or before April 22, 2021, move to a qualifying 2022 sailing on the same itinerary, sailing length, embarkation port, stateroom category and departing within 2-weeks of the original sail date and your client's cruise fare/promotion is protected.

im really getting fed up with royal cancelling month by month..why string us along???? not good business practice...

Would it make sense to cancel all sailings for six months forward if there’s a chance to possibly sail in one or two months??

Would save alot of time and money canceling 3 months at a time. Holding up alot of customer's money in which they can make other plans with their vaction time and $$$.

I think once they do get the all clear to presume cruising again, it will take another 90 days or more to get going anyway.

Don’t blame RCCL, blame the uncertainty caused by the pandemic (and the CDC)

Is that +-2 weeks  the same for a 6/8 nighter??..so not to be confusing...I would only have the option of choosing 1 cruise before or after 6 or 8 night sailing) vs 2 before or after for a standard 7 nighter??

14 day either way.  Yes you will only have the options of 3 cruises. 1 before, the same or 1 after

Actually, that says that he "says" that he "will", not that he "has".  I doubt that it will happen.  It's political theater.

DeSantis said the tens of thousands of Floridians who are out of work due to the closure of the industry have suffered for too long and wants the federal government to lift the no sail order on cruises.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said that the lawsuit was filed shortly before Thursday's news conference.

Too simplistic an answer.

Royal made the decision to hold onto deposits as long as they can.  Royal could have cancelled June Cruises months ago knowing the situation both in regard to COVID and regulations.  It has simply been a money grab to preserve cash.

That doesn't mean that it is not political theater.

Actually, it appears it was stated that "Florida "is.""  Theatre?  Yes, from the Comedy Department Crew.  🙄

IMHO, I think blame can be directed both internationally and in the US as to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has was  handled by our government.

What is a medical and scientific problem has become a political issue, unfortunately.

Wrong. Read the article, it says the lawsuit was filed shortly before the news conference. It's already done.

"Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said that the lawsuit announced by DeSantis was filed shortly before Thursday's news conference."

He ain't bluffing. Good for him and good for FL.

"The Attorney General said the suit was filed Thursday against the Biden administration, HHS, and the CDC, demanding that the court find the no-sail order unlawful."

I would love to read her filing and see under which statutes she claims the no-sail order is unlawful.
