Did the Alaska cruise on the Miracle in 2014, one of my best cruising memories, got to see

whales, and many Bald Eagles. would luv to do it again, maybe 2022 would be a

great year. I was also in the Navy, rode the Forrestal and Nimitz

I served on the Coral Sea, CVA 43, out of Alameda. It was also in San Francisco for dry docks.

We sailed the 14 day Alaska itinerary on the Miracle out of Long Beach a few years back. One of our favorite cruise itineraries. It was our 1st Alaska cruise. We loved the extra sea days.

We were scheduled to sail the 10 day out of S.F. this year, but it was cancelled. Alaska is amazing..So beautiful! I probably spent more time on our balcony and out on deck than any other cruise we've been on so far.

The crew was so excited because they we're sailing to Alaska versus the 7 day Mexican Riviera, which was the Miracle's regular itinerary. Their excitement was infectious. When we were in Glacier Bay for the day, they were stepping out on deck and taking pictures of each other on their breaks.

We've sailed many cruises on the Miracle. The Spirit class ships are our favorite. Well designed, easy to maneuver deck plan, nice large casino where you can sit and stare out at the ocean while you're playing a machine. The Serenity deck is really nice with the aft pool. I love it when the captain cranks it over 20 knots on the Spirit class ships..it's almost like flying.

We are sailing the 10 day Alaska trip on the Miracle in June 2022.  We booked several months ago when it appeared to us 2021 wouldn't happen.  We are traveling with couples. We booked early enough that we are full Aft balcony on Starboard side and one couple has the full Aft balcony on the Port side.

Hopefully by 2022 things are back to normal.

Speaking of which, for the first time, we have an extended balcony in the middle of the ship.  We've had regular balconies before but never an extended.  It doesn't look much different (from pics online) but I figured some extra whale watching room might be nice.

The 3 Roll Calls that I’m in (2 that I started), are very inactive as well.

That is because most roll calls are now formed on the social media site that shall not be named.

We were on this same cruise with you, it was our 1st Alaska cruise also. Fantastic cruise, had a wonderful time. Great ship, have sailed the Miracle 2 times with a 3rd coming this February to Hawaii.

@skrufy that's awesome that we were on the same Alaska cruise. Such a small world. I so wish that itinerary out of Long Beach was still available. We're sailing on the Miracle to Hawaii in 2023. The Hawaii itinerary is our other favorite. We've sailed the Miracle and the Spirit to Hawaii..love the sea days.
