Kauai Helicopter tour next April - what time of day is best? AM or PM?

God willing and the creek don't rise, we will be in Hawaii next April and want to schedule a helicopter tour in Kauai.  We have our choice of time of day and wondered if morning or afternoon is better as a general rule?  I know no one has a crystal ball, but are there any rules of thumb? Like thunderstorms build up in the afternoons so the morning is better, or the mornings can be cloudy until the sun burns it off so the afternoon is better...

Thanks,  Susan

I would do middle morning. It can get very windy on Kauai, and clouds usually build across the day.

Thanks Bruce.  We were thinking of booking their 11:30 option.  The only downside is that is cuts right into the middle of the day, leaving no real time in either the morning or afternoon to do anything else.  But the helicopter tour would be the priority activity of the day, so it's probably worth it to put it front and center timewise.

Any recommendations for Kauai helicopter tour company?

Ali'i Kai, Blue Hawaii, Jack Harter and Island Helicopter all get rave reviews, but really all they have to do is get you off the ground and back safely and you are blown away because of the scenery. We are partial to Jack Harter, he was the first company we used and back in the days when the copters could land on beaches on the Na Pali Coast.
