Why not wait for carnival to post their vsccine policies? Most likely mg would have been cancelled in august but who knows. .. it just reads odd you cancelled because you prefer they follow the vaccine guidelines that ncl and rcl follow.

Looks like rcl is starting mock cruises out of Port Canaveral so they can have more than 5% unvaxxed pax onboard .. which could be the exact same as carnival. I do wish carnival would provide their policy already, but it wouldnt surprise me if it's the exact same as rcl. Imo rcl wouldnt be announcing mock cruises if they intended to keep vaccinated pax under 5%. Its also a family  cruise line.

MG is a go for August per multiple sources.

Currently booked on a B2B for 8/7 and 8/14, but I am hoping it cancels so I can flip it to 2022 and gain 1200 in OBC towards Cheers.

Otherwise,  I am on the Halloween cruise for this year and will book a B2B next year anyway if this August sails and I need to cancel.

I really really hope cruises are a go by august. For all of us. Until I know there is a full crew on a carnival ship or a ship leaves the dock, then I'll believe.

Vista supposed to be the first ship out july 3rd. .. if the july ships dont leave on time the next batch could get pushed back.

I saw a post elsewhere on a alaska cruise that carnival cruisers should have more information by this time next week. We dont know about vaccine policy or masks or anything, still in the dark.

I wish I had your faith, but carnival has said before they were restarting .

Article in CruiseFever.net. said November.   LOL

Cruisefever??? Well consider the source lol

call any carnival pvp and ask, additionally the local news in here in Orlando on reporting as such and the port of canaveral is gearing up for august. Additionally, John Herald plans to be on the first sailing after his trip in July which puts the first cruise for MG in August maybeeeeee 7/31. Additionally my 8/14 in MG has NOT been cancelled, nor has any other mg sailing beyond 7/30.

That would be an incredible OBC.

Oh - I thought you had (confidential?) sources. What you cite are all well known things - none of which really indicate anything...  😞

That is what we have for our MG sailing in November.  $1350 OBC.  I already bought Cheers so I am good there so I am going to have some fun in the casino.

Supposedly sailing 9/25. Can't wait. I'm ready to experience the new restaurants 🙂

It used to be pretty easy - on a 7 night cruise you could hit all the places to eat. Now, with more and more options, it's not easy at all.

Oh, to have such problems !!

NCL is also starting at the beginning of August. All signs point to August.

Even if I had inside information it most certainly wouldn’t be shared publicly as it is considered confidential until

officially released.

Said the renter of the Presidential Suite on the possible 8/7 sailing.  First world problems are a b*tch.

Rent? No, I actually bought that cabin for the first year after completion. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed (obviously my legal counsel didn't cover all the bases).

LOL

Tom

EDIT: BTW, I did get that week for a great deal (casino rate) - and worked up from a forward excel, until an aft opened up... and then moved up to this cabin when someone bailed on it.

Just Alaska since they just cancelled the ones out of Jamaica.

What am I looking forward to the most?  Hearing from Carnival on what the plan is.  We are vaxxed and  not going to spend a week on a ship with a mask, nonsense.

If masks and distance are mandated, how long before the first fight breaks out because someone removed their mask or got 'too close'?

They've either got to go 'everyone vaxxed (95%/whatever)' or 'no restrictions at all' and let people decide.

I'm hopeful that our cruise will be a go on 9/11/21, we'll see what happens!!

People who have a Mardi Gras cruise booked, when are you sailing and what are you looking forward to the most?

My husband and I are sailing (hopefully) on August 21st.  We are looking forward to exploring a new ship, eating at new restaurants, and new entertainment.

May 2022 balcony cabin. Never been on a ship this size exploring and learning the layout should be interesting. As often as the sailings on this ship have been postponed it might still have that NEW SHIP smell when we board. Can't wait but have a Horizon sailing as a warmup first.
