Does NCL Encore have the full Pepsi line up, including ...

Pepsi, Pepsi One, Pepsi Max, Pepsi Throwback, Pepsi Wild Cherry, Pepsi Natural, Caffeine Free Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry, Diet Pepsi Lime and Diet Pepsi Vanilla, Mug Root Beer, Mug Diet Root Beer, Mug Cream Soda and Mug Diet Cream Soda, Sierra Mist Natural, Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, Diet Sierra Mist, Diet Sierra Mist Ruby Splash and Diet Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash?

If not, which ones of the above do they have available?

(I left the Mt. Dew line up off, since that has already been discussed. 🙂)

Thanks!

Sierra mist is there but I couldn't tell you which one.

Pepsi, diet pepsi and Pepsi Max I think. I try and avoid pepsi but my memory is pointing to this

Yes

I clearly do not have your discerning palate.  Joking aside, I honestly can't tell the difference.

What would you say is better about Coke?  They are both brown sugary bubbly drinks.

I mean RC cola, that was garbage, but not sure I could pass the "Pepsi challenge".

Definitely a difference. I just think it's superior and doesn't have that aftertaste Pepsi has.

I think partly why I prefer coke is that I was bought up with it. When I was a child and allowed a fizzy drink, it would be coke rather than Pepsi. So you get kinda of used to it. It's like home cooking. Most people love their "whoever" cooking when growing up whether it's their mom, dad, gran etc. You grow up with it so it's taste better

Makes sense.  I don't doubt there is a difference, I just can't taste it, but that's just me.

My older son also said he thinks Pepsi has an aftertaste...so I guess he'll be disappointed on the cruise!

I started drinking pepsi as a kid for a treat with taco bell, now as an adult I like the coke in the glass bottles. So I evolved from one brand to the other.

When you order Diet Coke and the server asks if Diet Pepsi is okay the proper response is: "No, my god, what is wrong with you???" 😉

so do you go without if the diet coke is unavailable?

Love that response.  I’ve always said, “I’ll have water.”

When asked what I want to drink, my response is “do you have Coke or Pepsi?”  I don’t get asked if Pepsi is okay.

Yes, I go without.  On the Encore, I expect to make an Arnold Palmer to get my caffeine.  I’ll miss the carbonation and phosphoric acid which help clear the palate.  And look for a Coke on our port days to consume before reboarding.

Well, here in Canada we call it 'Soft Drinks'!

I call it Coke; we’ll, usually I say Coca Cola - saves the question of “diet?” Because that’s what I’m ordering 🙂.

If I’m offering you a beverage, I say “would you like something to drink?”

I think “Coke” is the commonly used term here.  If I am referring to soft drinks in general, then I say soft drinks, too.  Way to go, Canada!

What they need is a Freestyle Coke machine.

As I do not want a Pepsi instead of Coke, I also do not want my Coke to taste like any of the other flavors that have come out of the Freestyle Machine.

It was a lovely idea, but doesn’t work for me.  I avoid restaurants with them, get the food to go, or just drink water.

I’d rather pay the bartender $2 for a can than get unlimited Freestyle Coke on Royal Caribbean (or bad fountain Coke on Princess).

Despite my preference, I am happy that Pepsi fans actually get what they want.  I just wish soft drink contracts weren’t exclusive.

Last year, Sam’s Club offered both at their self-serve machines.  The banner read - “Now It’s Your Choice.”

A few months later, they switched to Pepsi.

Saves me from drinking those 32 oz cups of Coke.

As a kid, I remember all the soft drinks came in glass bottles.  If you were really lucky, the soda would freeze when the cap was removed.  (I lived in Southern Oklahoma where the summer temps were often over 100.  A frozen soft drink was a real treat.)

Yes get machines, more choices, and more zero-calorie drinks please.  I wish for coke but have to search for it in ports.

As for water... the same palate that can taste a big difference between coke and pepsi also finds ship water to be disgusting.  And a ransom must be paid to buy bottled water which I must ration to 1 or 2 bottles per person per day. sigh.

if you go to the bar in the casino, the bartender will give you a couple of bottles every nigh, no charge. my wife has this down to a science

I have a heart condition and can only drink Coke Zero due to low caffeine content.  I've not found anything Pepsi makes that is comparable.

Anyone remember Crystal Pepsi? That was good, too.

Yes, I loved Crystal Pepsi!!! The color didn't match the taste, though. A clear soda wasn't supposed to taste like a cola!!

You could try crystal lite or Mio, though it won't be carbonated, or some of the sodastream flavors intended to be carbonated which might more closely match coke brands.

Coke Zero has marginally less caffeine than Diet Coke, but only about 25% less. It's something like 34mg per can vs. 46mg.... something like that. It's a very bad name for a product because many people think it has no caffeine. The "zero" refers to no sugar and no calories.

The only Pepsi product that you can find in some locations on NCL (and usually in cans in limited quantities) is what used to be called Diet Sierra Mist, but what is now called Sierra Mist Free.

A lemon lime soda with no caffeine and no calories.

But again, it's not in every venue on board and  it's not well stocked in the places that carry it.

Sierra Mist (Diet)

A lemon lime soda with no caffeine and no calories.

In other words a substitute for 7UP - Coke equivalent Sprite {diet or sugared}

The difference is the type of sugar used in making the non-diet drinks

Sugar or Corn Syrup (Pepsi uses CS - therein the after taste)

The diet drinks are using an artificial faux chemical enhanced sweetener -

talk about discerning tastes -

taste something made with sugar after drinking a diet beverage and BLAAAA

your taste buds have been sabotaged gone flat

The Pepsi and Coke made in the USA both use high fructose corn syrup.
