Mardis Gras Arrival at Port Canaveral

Nothing really to see since they are usually just bobbing around at sea.

Not really. I think it'd be really neat to view the Mardi Gras cruise cam as it sails into the harbor. I think there would be plenty to see then, don't you?

Most of the ships are doing nothing. The Mardi Gras sail in might be interesting, but won't it be at the crack of dawn? Anyway, I imagine there are photographers on the ship and in shore who will provide higher quality images and video.

Anyway, I thought the webcams could be seen on carnivalentertainment.com, but I didn't see them listed.

I heard it will enter the channel around 6 AM and be fully docked around 7AM

That looks like a job search for Carnival entertainers(dancers, singers, musicians, stage crew, etc) to me, so it's not surprising you didn't find and ship's webcams.

The turn basin is close to the restaurants....if you get there early you can see it come right at you.

We spend a lot of time at the port restaurants - love to see ships coming and going.  We were at Grills on 5/16 and watched the Liberty come in, turn around and dock at CT3, pretty cool to see that.

I am wondering how long the Mardi Gras will stay in port...I have to assume not long as they have to pay port fees....probably go right offshore and join the Disney ships and wait it out.

If they go right back out what would be the point of docking.

Surely they will get doses for crew, or john will board, or to fuel up, take on supplies. Has to be docking to do something.

I read (somewhere!) that they would be in port for two weeks, leaving on 6/18.

EDIT: (From Florida Today):

The Mardi Gras is scheduled to remain at Port Canaveral until June 18, as final work on the ship is completed, in preparation for sailings with passengers.

Here she comes, with her escorts...

Just checked and she is about 60 miles off the coast. Probably float around this evening and wait for clearance as well as the Liberty and Freedom to close in.

Just watched Mardi Gras sail past the Jetty Park pier via the PC webcam, working its way past the PC webcam right now.  Awesome!  It's huge!

clarify I watched via webcam, not in person :(

And it is turning in the middle basin, not the western basin.  So the sun is right behind her from the PC Webcam, all glary and shadow.  Boo.

Check out La Lido Loca on you tube....they did a nice job of capturing as she entered the channel.

Great pics! There is a you tube video of it coming in if anyone wants to see it. I don't have the link as work blocks you tube. Lol

Excellent photos, cruisemom2. Watched the Mardi Gras arrival on webcam and it was really cool to see the Liberty and the Freedom follow her in as she was docking at her brand new terminal. Liberty went on to dock next to Disney Fantasy while Freedom turned around and left the port. I guess Royal's Odyssey is on her way into Port Canaveral for crew vaccinations and an overnight.. Exciting times at the best cruise ship port in the land.

Looking forward to our Mardi Gras sailing on December 4, 2021.
