It looks like all of the dinner entrees have been hit so I'll go with some apps, desserts, and breakfasts and brunches I get excited about.

baby spinach salad

greek salad

crab cake

grand marnier souffle

bitter n blanc

steak n eggs

avocado toast

cantina burger (sorry Guy, this is the best burger on the ship)

I really like the stuffed portobello mushrooms that’s served as a main course in MDR and I’m not normally a mushroom person but they  are so good!  Also like the grilled shrimp and lobster. I’ve never asked for the non-vegetarian Indian but plan to on my next cruise.  (I really liked the Tandoori restaurant that was on the Magic a few years ago....wish they still had that.  The food was our favorite! ) The strawberry bisque is my favorite cold soup.  I also like the pumpkin soups...I think there’s two versions and both are good. Melting cake and the banana splits are probably my two fav desserts. Can not wait for the chance to try the new breakfast items on seadays.  Our last ship didn’t have that new menu yet. I really like the homemade granola. It’s easy to put in a baggie and save for a snack later.

We are going on our first long Carnival cruise on the Horizon, and want to know what everyone's favorite dishes are.

Since it's been a couple of years since I answered a similar question... my MDR favorites are the prime rib, short ribs, and spare ribs.  Kind of a theme there, I know. 😀

LOL if you ever do the Doctor Seuss breakfast

'selections' can get exotic in a hurry!

The pancakes seemed the lesser of the evils, to me!

I think my wife had the Green Eggs and Ham -not just the poster

That's me with Thing 2....

Never did the  Dr. Seuss breakfast. "kids" are 19 and 17 now.

maybe I will go solo? ===> Cost us $5 each! - lol

We did it for a laugh,

and because my wife had reared her 5 kids with Dr. Seuss.

We even got involved in the Parade the day before! Suckers....

We're right there with you on this one! Interesting thing is we don't like the mushroom appetizer Carnival serves. The Portobello is another story altogether. Sometimes we order the Crispy Portobello with its excellent sauce for an appetizer and still have room for a main. The Portobello is only served one evening of a 7 night cruise but it's worth keeping an eye out for it 🙂

I usually ask for the cold soups in a glass so I can drink it like a shake! Ha!

I ask for mine to be brought out at the end of dinner and in a glass. I take it with me.

I wish they would offer vegetarian options

in other categories besides Indian.

I can't stand the smell of curry, but would love to have

a Chinese veggie stir-fry with tofu.

===> No problem. You didn't say,man!

Hey...talk to them. Mention it.

Sometimes they like challenges like that

and might make special arrangement for that Vietnamese chef-guy

who also paints the hulls

- and who makes The Real Thing from the Mekong Delta region!

He lives on Deck B -about 15 ft. below sea level.
