Retirement is wonderful.  At first the idea seemed downright suspicious to me . . . wait, we are going to quit good jobs, then start spending money like drunken sailors (literally!) and the government will send us money every month?  What planet is this???  Planet Retired is a real place!

I used to deliberately seek out vacation destinations where my husband could not be contacted.  It got harder and harder as cell service improved but ships were always a refuge:)  Funny story - He got an emergency call at 3 AM the other day from his old company.  Somebody had a phone list that was never updated.  He's been retired for several years now.  We went back to sleep feeling blessed.

I can't wait to wake up the morning of the cruise at 4:30am - 5 am and watch our ship come in- literally!! Our past 2 Miami cruises we were fortunate to have our hotel room directly looking over the port. So lovely!
