Casino-On board credit/cruise cash/gift cards

I know historically all these things just worked like a credit to your account and would pay for casino charges as well. On a board someone said this is no longer the case for on board credit. Has anyone else seen this as I can't find it. I usually prepay everything and load my casino "allowance" on my account with gift cards. When my account hits 0 my casino fun is over:)

Never had a problem with this, I do the same, OBC can be used for everything

I have not heard this.  We always put a few gift cards on our account to ease the pain at the end of the cruise.😅

Haven't heard of any new chanegs to using the OBC.

No changes but you need to "charge" casino play to your sail and sign and then OBC will cover that charge.  Some people try to ask for cash of their OBC to be used in the casino and that does not work.

OBC has always worked everywhere for me.  All the shops, art auctions, excursions, casino, etc.  I also came up with a cute trick if I have any left over at the end of the cruise.  I don't usually go to casino and don't want to go through the whole "cash out" thing I have read about, so I just go to Cherry on top and buy new gift cards to take home with me.  They sell them in there.  Then I can take my OBC home in gift card form to use for next cruise (only works in $100 increments so any little bit left under $100 I will just make sure I spend).

I follow a lot of boards and have only heard 1 person say this. The consensus seems to be no change-yippee! Cant wait to confirm for myself on a ship!

This could be the cruise you hit the jackpot so be sure to cash out and don't feel obligated to play it all back until your "account hits zero."
