Adventure of the Seas – The First Voyage

Recommended Posts

Loving this.  Thank you for doing it.

Couple of questions

Could you post the breakfast menu from the main dining room?

Do you know if they are planning to serve some chilled fruit soups?

would I be able to bring a some pure maple syrup if it is still sealed?

Thanks. I hope it remains this way (dress attire). How long did it take from start to finish to complete the dinner process?

So the dress attire has been this way for a while.  Wry few care about lugging around gowns and shoes. A sundress for us is just fine.

We normally take about 1 1/2 hours for dinner. Multiple appetizers, an entree, dessert, and coffee. Your waiter will serve you at your pace. If you want rapid service, tell them.

They vaccinated 1050 Adventure crew members towards the end of May. Crew for this size of ship is around 1200 max. So they are somewhere between 1050 and 1200 crew. So it’s a reduction of 12.5% or less. I’d imagine the reduction is mostly in food services(cooking and dining) and cabin stewards.

Royal vaccinated their crew with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The crew all seem to be happy that they only needed one jab. So consider that the crew had a less effective vaccine.

Well it is time to plan our disembarkation already. You need to pay attention in the post-pandemic cruise world because there are new requirements. Those who didn’t immediately schedule a Covid test found out that they were sold out on the sea day and needed to be onboard while in Freeport to be tested. Now, there is a requirement to schedule your disembarkation.

When and how do you sign up for the departure Covid screening? We would love to do ours on the sea day.

You are provided… wait for it… a QR code. Follow the instruction from the testing company.

Did they do any picture taking for formal night? Wondering if they're even doing any at all.

Yup. Ship’s photography team has been busy taking pictures. with backdrops onboard. Photographers were all over CocoCay, some wading in the ocean water getting those perfect swim shots.

Embarkation photos were taken on the dock (actually the walk from the port entrance to the doc) using the real ship as a backdrop.

In the event a person would be asymptomatic and test positive for COVID, then what happens?  In regards to disembarkation.

And/or

What if they are symptomatic and test positive what happens to them?

Just curious.

Just wondered if that information is available.

When you are ready to buy those photos, go to Focus. Select you pics online and have them printed.

Like everywhere, stations are closed to socially distance and you are required to sanitize the screen before and after use.

You can also book a private photo shoot for the perfect family portrait.

No information available. You can reference what Celebrity and MSC did when they had positive tests last week.

The Adventure had been fitted with a facial recognition contract tracing system…. To identify additional passengers to put in isolation.

1.  Are the waiving the room service charge for non-suites ?

2.  Is the onboard COVID testing the brain-tickler ?

1. According to the app (source of all knowledge), not waived.
2. The test at check-in was not. I can tell you more after we have been tested (requirement for return travel and satisfies the Bahamas 5-day test requirement for unvaccinated passengers over 12.

@BirdTravels Thank you so much for the Schooner drink menu. Question, they used to have a drink called the "Baton Rouge" which was made with rum and cognac, I did not see it on your posted menu. Happen to know if they still serve it? It's a great cocktail.
