OMG is off topic but CDC lowered the risk level for cruising to level 3 for vaccinated cruisers of course

Actually, the CDC lowered it to level three (3) for unvaccinated pax.

EDIT: specific language from the CDC website:

"Lowered from Level 4 to Level 3, and specified the notice is for travelers who are not fully vaccinated."

I guess level 1 for fully vaxxed?

e muster like, electronic muster?  🤔

I saw on another line- once on board they would email  or text a video for you to watch then you report to your muster station for a stick on your sign & sail card. Maybe something like that here?  🙃 Anything beats standing in the heat !!!

I don’t get it…

Why do they not want to drop off water, logo gifts, etc to the stateroom? What’s the benefit to anyone with this change?

Fewer crew on-board?

Many people seem to not want them. Especially the chocolate delights. I'll take the casino credit and add it to my other credits. I won't miss the slot tournament.

Reading it over and comparing to other "travel warnings", I would say that it is indeed level 1.  Let's get sailing!

Even before covid, they were straining to keep up with the platinum/diamond benefits due to the increasing numbers.  This is a good excuse to scale them back.  I think laundry is the most useful perk, and that's staying...so far.  And as long as we're allowed into the rooms to drop off the bags, that's cool--that's one of those things that was happening even before the pandemic.

, there is no change the Diamond and Platinum laundry perks.

Oh what a relief !!! The perk of perks is untouched !!!

Actually I was prepared to take lots of extra clothes for August on the MG. Its just 7 days. I might still as it will probably take more time to get our laundry back. Im use to in by 10am back that night and overnight but Im sure that will change.

Im trying to remember. We received the logo gift the 2nd night and the strawberries the 3rd day I think.

· ONLINE CHECK-IN – All guests will be required to complete Online Check-In, which will open 14 days prior to sailing. Platinum and Diamond guests will be given 48 hours advance access to select their preferred Arrival Appointment. So beginning 16 days prior to sailing, you can select your Arrival Appointment. Let me also stress that due to additional embarkation day processes, everyone will have to arrive promptly at their Arrival Appointment. Early arrivals will be turned away and asked to return at their assigned time.

·

OK I just checked my Cruise Manager The check in dates for my several future cruises have all been adjusted 16 days prior for even the Sept 2023 one

My Aug 14 on the MG is now July 29.

They’ll probably keep laundry service perk, but similar to the other changes, you’ll have to lug the laundry yourself way down to deck 00.

You know - so there’s less “touching” of things 🙂

I used to think that way too, until I found out that 100% of the laundry is done in hot water.

I will be platinum my upcoming cruise and didn’t know this. I’m glad you shared this. I won’t be giving them any dark clothes to wash now.

I wonder why platinum and diamond are spoken of as one group. There is s lot of difference between the number of days

Those 2 groups sit together before priority boarding, though diamond does get called first.

Only platinum and diamond get priority boarding of loyalty levels, unlike other cruiselines. Carnival might need to add something above diamond? Nothing to aim at for extra perks once you hit diamond.

Too hard for programmers to separate imo.

Yes. Definitely no deal breakers here. I will just be glad to cruise.
However I feel it’s a money thing and will become permanent.
How much less touching will occur with us getting water and bringing it back. Bar tender or delivery person

Gift: room steward or pixel person.

Like a lot of you I feel many will forget to pick them up.

Considering that my bag of underwear is in the washer with 20 other people's bags of underwear, I'm OK with that.  I make sure that what I buy, wear, and send to the laundry can take it.  😀

Agreed.  We have used this perk a lot, just don't send delicates or things you could not live without.  Ours has always came back fine.
