Does anyone know how the sofa bed works on the Edge?

I was looking for pics but I haven’t found one. My family is thinking of booking an Edge or Apex cruise, but we’re a family of 3 so we need the space to sleep. I was wondering how the bed comes out from the couch, like the one in the pic below. It looks like a trundle bed but I’m not sure.

Yes it’s a trundle bed. It pulls out like a drawer with wheels and it’s a twin sized mattress that takes up most of the floor space up to the mini fridge/desk.

I’ve seen this video before but I do have a silly question: does that mattress come up or do you just lay down on it below the couch? No one actually as shown the bed set up so I’m not sure.

It just seems so uncomfortable to sleep like that with a sofa right up against you, and being almost next to the ground.

Just have the room steward make up the sofa…it’ll give you more walking room too

The sofa on edge was hard as a rock.  I can’t imagine sleeping on it

I've slept on just the sofas of ships before, I actually slept on the one on the Millennium in 2019. I could maybe do it but it does get uncomfortable. Disney's was kind of nice since the top folded down and it became a pretty cushy twin.

The sofa on edge was not like the ones on other Celebrity ships.  Hard as a board, uncomfortable for sitting (with or without the Kelly Hoppen pillows). I could nap on the sofas on S and M class ships, but not on edge.

Seems like using the bed is the only option, though it seems a bit awkward itself. Probably not that bad but still.

Does anyone know how the convertible sofa bed's work? Are they more comfortable than the trundles?

Don’t some of the rooms have beds that come down from the wall?   Did Celebrity do away with this on the new ships?   That type of arrange might be okay for a young child, but not for an older child or adult.
