Double Points Extended! - Book by 9/30/21, Sail by 12/31/22

Recommended Posts

Guess it all depends on how close the individual is to attaining the next level.  This promo will help us almost achieve what we thought to be impossible by the end of 2022.  So why not go for it?

That is a whole other (and very well hashed over 😉 ) topic.  But indeed I agree it could go that way, though you will hear the howling of many Ds and D+.   It's a very hot topic.

When RCI first went to drink vouchers, I thought...OK here we go, Ds get vouchers, D+ and Pinnies in the DL (possibly renamed "Loyalty Lounge" or something like that), just like the CL has morphed into the SL for full suites and now questionable Pinnie access.

Wasn't that more than 7 years ago?

You know what they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day

But didn't they all get cancelled?

Holding at 16 Booked, 11 are good/Great prices when got them. Scored 3 more price drops on Friday in ones that were OK prices, 2 others dropped 3 weeks ago. All but one( a PC) less then $200 a nite for SOLO in Aft/Corner Balcony or a Jr Suite, I'm Happy... Edit, 2 my Cruises are $120 a Nite

Assuming I make it on all booked cruises I hit 340 pts on 2nd leg of b2b dec 2022. I'd like to figure out how to use it for oasis 3/2023 which is over 300 a day solo. .. other than cancelling and rebooking. Ourusualbeach posted a couple pages back it would have to be applied before i make final payment on the next cruise .. and it just misses by less than a week. I hadnt counted on that. I thought i had it figured out how to get that price down.

We will see what future prices do, but I bet we are talking 10 years from now about those great covid prices. Time will tell. Like people here still talk about 9/11 pricing.

I believe we have to stick up to any good deals now to make up for the times that we have missed duing the pandemic. I mean, the moment I spot a great deal I will definetly take it. I need a vacation. I really do. Hope you guys are of the same state of mind

A good deal is a good deal anytime.  This bonus extension is certainly nice for many folks to seize.

I find the changes to be an enhancement 😇

To me, the daily drink vouchers are definitely an enhancement.   And I never was a nightly lounge user so the  suite lounge loss is not a factor.

But—-We like CK, suite sun deck, barefoot beach, speciality breakfast on non oasis class ships, suite escort off the ship etc.   I know some of these are reduced, and I’ll wait and see about others.

I thought P's are still allowed to eat in CK, just not allowed in the SL??

Dinner reservations could be limited.

That would be fine if they went back to 2 good menus vs a couple good nights and 5 sub par menus😉

We were only doing dinner up there around 3 nights pre covid. Key was getting reservations for the 2 good menus

I'll trade the new drink setup for Chops breakfast in a heartbeat.

I am not expecting to be able to get  a reservation.  Something tells me, they will always be booked up. Perhaps some  high level P's, folks who buddy up to the   concierge or CK  host  or folks who  sail the same ship over and over will have a better chance.

I am waiting to see about any other suite based reductions for P.  and I really don't believe these reductions are temporary.

Just my 2 cents.

I didn’t know Chops has a breakfast.  Sounds good.  I am guessing they serve steak and eggs.

Not that I recall, typical breakfast fare. Some ships do it in Giovanni

Chops does not serve breakfast to the public.  The  venue is often used  as a dining room for suite/Pinnacle passengers.

I am confused. I saw your post yesterday and was excited because we were going to book a trip in Dec. 22. I did just call and booked it and the man confirmed I would get double points, but then when I went to the website, it now says sailings through September 22. My sailing is December.  Really hoping I can get those double points, as we are getting a suite and it would add up.
