On the Christmas Markets voyage, when does the QM2 depart Rotterdam?

With the increasing expectation that we'll actually be able to sail, I'm starting to do some planning...

On the Christmas Markets trip, when does the QM2 typically depart Rotterdam? I realize this year may not be like prior years, but I'm curious when it has typically left Rotterdam.  This December's itinerary has her making the short jump to Bruges after she leaves Rotterdam. The QM2 could probably do that in a few hours, so I'm hoping it has a relatively late departure from Rotterdam on its last day there. Anyone have first-hand experience?

P.S. The Voyage Personalizer does not yet indicate actual times, other than 'early evening', which is why I'm asking.  Thanks!

I'm seeing 19:00 (7:00 PM) listed as QM2's departure from Rotterdam on December 13, 2021. That's what is showing in the itinerary details for this December's QM2 Christmas Markets voyage on several cruise booking websites.

Thanks, that helps (and confirms that I didn't think she'd be sailing at 4 or 5.)  We're planning on tea on board the S.S. Rotterdam, and I'd rather have it at 3 or 3:30 than at noon!

LL:

we sailed at about 5pm

I was afraid that it might have been 5-ish,  but was hoping she might not have be leaving until 6 or 7.

where she is going to next

Zeebrugge. It looks like that's only about 100 KM!

maybe the tide

I hadn't considered that. But Rotterdam is such a *huge* sea port I assumed it wouldn't be too affected by tidal conditions. I guess the tides at Zeebrugge would have to be taken into account.

We were idly considering spending one night onboard the Rotterdam. We could do that and then just take the train the next morning... it looks like it'd only be about 3 hours.

We have 5 months yet. We have to keep praying to the Cruise Gods to ensure that the trip even goes.

What a fantastic idea! We are also booked on that cruise at the moment. I will definately be looking into tea on the S.S. Rotterdam. Fingers crossed the timings look good.

If I'm not mistaken, the Rotterdam is Stephen Payne's (the QM2 naval architect) favorite ship. That's certainly a selling point. But the mid-century modern public rooms look incredible. Here's a quick 4-minute video:
