The Odyssey, Allure, Mariner, and Freedom along with the Carnival Pride and Liberty, and Celebrity Reflection were here to watch the show. Amazing horn battle followed the fireworks.

Why type of cabin are you in? Did you Royal Up?

We are in a Grand Suite. We did not Royal Up since we have no desire to be pin and Owners Suite on this ship. The double balcony sold us.

We were in Freeport today and the internet on the ship has been touch and go/super slow today. Seems to be better now and I will catch up on posts tonight when I get back to the room.

I love horn battles. And Adventure has an awesome horn.

I'm glad to see you with your child(ren) on-board. Too much negativity these days for people cruising with kids: I can't wait to go with mine. Enjoy your cruise!

They are having a blast, following the rules with masks has not been a thing. Most of the time they are mad at me because I forget to give them back when we go inside.

We took very few photos in Freeport. This was our first time at the port and not a favorite. Since we had the boys and they wanted to souvenir shop we went on the island history tour with shopping.

Our tour guides were great. The bus was a very clean double decker (bonus points from the boys for this part) charter style bus. We stopped at the downtown fruit market, although there wasn’t much fruit. About half the stalls were open. We didn’t buy anything but some daiquiris here, and aim fairly certain they were virgin daiquiris but very refreshing. The next stop was the Port Lucaya Market. Again, only about half the shops were open. The boys got some conch at a stand called Daddy Browns and got the lowdown on why many of the shops were open. Many don’t open on Sunday because of church, and some didn’t know a ship was going to be in port today. The non-local shops were all open.

**The ship excursions for non-vaxxed passenger groups is a bunch of crap. We got off the ship, walked to the meetup location and walked back to the ship after the tour with no restrictions. We could have walked through any of the port shops we wanted. That being said, we stopped for pictures along the way back to the ship but everyone was anxious to take the masks off…it was hot. Note how close the boys are to the pirates. I think the girl pirate had cooties.

This afternoon we came back to the ship, which had been decorated, and had a late lunch at the Promenade Cafe. After that it was waterslide and pool time. The boys rode the waterslide 5 or 6 times on 30 minutes and we headed over to the pool. They swam, I had a fruity beverage and then when my husband took them back o we to the waterslides I took a little nap.

We did use the lounge chairs in the suite area, they are comfy but dang they get hot. Who thought burgundy was a good idea?

The little guy enjoyed his escargot and is excited to have them every night for the rest of the trip.

Lastly, we came back after dinner to this cute boat and Happy 4th of July card.

Freeport was lacking for sure even in the port areas almost everything was shut down. We were expecting that based on the previous Nassau cruise reports and decided to do massages instead.

Here are the night shots of the other ships sailing away. We watched Odyssey make her turn and sail away from our jr suite. Our sailing for this week was originally supposed to be on Odyssey until they canceled it and moved it to Israel prior to moving it to Miami.

The amount of paper is drastically smaller than it was previously, but we have gotten a Cruise Compass, dinner menu and one information sheet a day (first day we got 2, show info and welcome aboard letter).

No room service card to hang on the door though. I know this is the truly a 1st world problem, but I really do hate this. I don’t want to have to call and order room service. Talking on the phone gives me anxiety. Hopefully they will add the ability to order room service to the app soon.

Beautiful shots, thanks for sharing. we weren’t expecting much in Freeport but it was a new port for us. We have been to Cozumel twice and both times there was tropical weather and I was terribly sea sick so it was a miserable stop. We decided not to get off the ship this time and it looks like it should be a beautiful day so to everyone who wants a beautiful beach day..you’re welcome. Hubby got me a massage that morning too.

Do you feel like you are getting any suite perks at all? Did they contact you in advance or allow you to check in early or anything?

Yes. We received an email 6 days before the cruise from the concierge.

When we completed check-in we selected a 30 minute window for the cruise terminal (hotel) check-in. The email from the concierge said we could arrive up

to 1 hour before or after our 30 minute window as long as the terminal was open. Since we were able to get the easiest check-in time during online check-in (12:00-12:30) the check-in staff wasn’t ready until 11:25 so we were able to start the process then.

Below is the letter we had in our room for suite perks.

Is there something that has to be done with daily wellness checks for the Bahamian Government for the children under age who are not vaccinated? Wasn't sure due to technically, we will be in the Bahamas only one night before cruise; or if they are on the cruise ship it means we are in the Bahamas 8 days? I think this is separate from any requirements from Royal once on the ship????

Thanks so much as this was confusing to me.
