EDGE Western is advertising Roatan as a port stop, but are they "just kidding?"

Can anyone confirm that although Celebrity is advertising Roatan as one of their Western port stops, but that they are not stopping there?

I noticed on Cruise Mapper that Roatan is NOT expecting Edge in September in their online schedule , even though our itinerary includes Roatan as a stop.

Can someone clarify this?  Celebrity will not comment on the fact that they are advertising Roatan even though they know that they are not going there....

TIA

  • Ramjet1997 changed the title to EDGE Western is advertising Roatan as a port stop, but are they "just kidding?"

We're scheduled for Roatan on the August 21st cruise.  It looks like the inaugural port call will be 2 weeks before that (on the Western cruise prior to ours).  I looked at all the port calendar websites and none show Edge making a port call there, but that could just mean they haven't been updated.

Our cruise planner is showing tours available in Roatan.

I'm sure Captain Kate will post plenty to her social media when the first port call happens.

I know we're booked on the Aug 07 and Aug 21 Western Caribbean cruises that are scheduled to stop at Roatan, Honduras and have X excursions booked on both. So, hopefully, everything will be a go by Aug 7th cruise.

I also noticed that none of the websites are showing Edge in Roatan. Ships from other cruise lines are there.I am very skeptical that we will be going there.

The Carnival Vista was the first cruise ship to dock (July 6th) in Honduras since the pandemic shut down cruising.

The Vista docked at Mahogany Bay.

We are scheduled to to visit on the Edge on August 7th which would be the Celebrity’s inaugural port stop back to the island.

We shall wait and see.
