Health Protocols and Requirements
Following CDC guidelines we will sail with all crew vaccinated and at least 95% of guests will be fully vaccinated.

All guests 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.

All unvaccinated guests will require a complimentary COVID-19 test at the terminal.

For Sailings from Florida
Guests 16 years and older (12 and older for any sailing on or after August 1st) who decline or are unable to show proof of vaccination at boarding will be treated as unvaccinated and subject to additional protocols, restrictions, and costs for COVID-19 testing.

Guests visiting the Bahamas on any sailing departing from the US, do not need to apply for the health visa.

Additional requirements for unvaccinated guests 16 +

  • You will need to arrive for embarkation with a negative PCR test taken within 3 days in advance of arrival to the terminal.
  • You will be subject to a Covid-19 test at the pier.
  • A mid cruise antigen test onboard will be required.
  • An antigen test will be required at the end of the cruise.  Please do not make early travel plans on the day of debarkation to allow time for the required testing process.
  • The per person cost for these tests is $178 and will be applied to your onboard folio.
  • Masks will be required at all times onboard except while eating or drinking.
  • Unvaccinated guests are required to book a Celebrity curated tour, and depending on local government requirements, unvaccinated guests may be further restricted from going ashore.
  • Unvaccinated guests will have designated seating areas* in all venues such as the dining rooms, casino, theatre, etc.
  • Unvaccinated guests will not have access to gym or spa*.
*Venue access is validated via Sea Pass card.

Do you want to get kicked off the ship?  Get vaccinated and avoid any problems/issues.

While getting vaccinated to avoid any issues is a sound idea, suggesting that they'll be kicked off the ship is totally wrong if they follow the rules set down by Celebrity..

She won’t be able to go to the spa or gym.  She will be tested at her expense for a cost of $178.  She will be required to wear a mask.  She can only take a Celebrity tour, won’t be able to go ashore on her own.  She will have to buy a special insurance policy.  Seems like quite a bit of hassle.

Here's the primary source for the information you seek:  Celebrity US Travel Requirements

In addition to the areas that are off-limits in the first place, she will be limited to "designated seating areas" in the other public areas of the ship, and I cannot imagine that those areas are the more desirable ones.  It really does sound like a tremendous hassle.

I would have no desire to cruise as an unvaccinated passenger.  That's no judgment.  Do as you like, and I understand that there are a number of reasons why one may not or cannot be vaccinated.  I just don't see the value in the experience if I had to deal with those restrictions.

I would not travel right now if unvaccinated. Not even for the sack of falling ill, but your experience will be poor. I would imagine it would be very challenging to have one vaccinated and one not vaccinated traveling together.

The vaccinated husband should prepare for wearing a mask even though it isn’t required. Take for example going to the theater. There will be an area set aside for unvaccinated passengers, all who must be wearing a mask. Assuming that the husband and wife want to sit together, and he goes to that area, he will surely be asked to comply with the mask rule. Then having to explain the situation just adds to the hassle.  Much easier to wear one and fit in with the others in that designated area.

If they wish to do a shore excursion together, the same thing would happen.  She would be required to wear a mask. While he would not be required to, it will be difficult to explain to the others on that excursion why he is the exception to the mask rule. Easier to just go along with the mask rule in order to be on the same shore excursion.

Hoping that the cruise experience for all unvaccinated guests on all lines is a miserable one.

Typically, I do not comment on comments, but that was over the top and uncalled for.  Bad form.  Bad vibes.

Unfortunately there are some who, for whatever reason, are not able to receive the vaccination but have FCC and would like to safely use the FCC.  Would rather lose the FCC than face the possibility of being berated further on a cruise.

The bad form is all the people who have easy access to a free, effective vaccine and refuse to get continuing this pandemic. I second that all unvaccinated adult cruisers have a most miserable time.

The keyboard cowboys hiding behind their computers and making disparaging remarks should be ignored. Fortunately, you'll not be hearing from them face-to-face aboard.

It's a short cruise with a number of limitations, which have been covered pretty well in this thread. If I had to choose between the cruise, with its restrictions, or losing the FCC, I'd go with the cruise. Consider to that, by October, some of the restrictions may well be lifted.

Best of luck, whatever you decide.

Correct. It’s harsh but exactly how I feel and I won’t apologize for my feelings. Get your vaccines, not excuses or simply vacation another way. It should be realized by now that the cruise lines, vaccinated guests , and the ports don’t want unvaccinated people on board.
