Wi fi at convention center check in?

We are staying at the Bahamas Mar the night before the cruise.  It’s my understanding that we will walk to the convention center for testing.  Is there wi fi available in the convention center?

Do we have to wheel our bags to the convention center ourselves?

Thanks, Keith!  Do you “rent out” for cruises?  I want to have you sailing with us since you know everything we ask!😊

You are very welcome.  Someone who I played with Paddle tennis said her agent couldn't answer any questions so she asked me.  The good news is there are  lots of knowledgeable people  on this  forum.

We are here now. They offer luggage pickup from your room the morning of departure.  We were told a shuttle to the convention center will confirm in am

I'm at sls baha right now. There are shuttles to take you to the convention center if you don't want to walk. Luggage will be picked up outside your room at 9am and taken directly to the ship. There was a letter at check in that explained it. There's also a crystal hospitality desk downstairs near check in.

Yes it is interesting  that when  you  arrive  to the convention center luggage went on the truck before you  were tested.

We had a private Crystal transfer so they picked us up at Rosewood, dropped us  off at the Convention Center, waited for us at  a  car park a  few minutes away and when it was time to go the local Crystal coordinator contacted the driver asking him  to pull up to the entrance to  pick us  up.

If  we didn't have this a couple of options.  Hotel told us before we arrived  they  could take us over there by  golf court.  At the hotel our backup plan should the vehicle not arrive was to take a taxi if needed.  The doorman would have arranged this with a couple of minute wait.

When you are standing in line at the convention center, there are instructions on signing on to the wifi to get the test results.  EM

Last thing I want to do. I want a hard copy of  my results. If WiFi does not work I can read a book.

Just a random question - is this tied towards the Bahamas Travel Health Visa website? Do your results show up there? Do they scan the QR code from your Travel Health Visa? Thank you so much!

If you do not have a device to connect to wifi, or choose not to, you will not get notified of results.  So after a suitable period of time, ten to 15 minutes, go to the desk at the rear of the room, where everyone is going to get their blue wristband, and they will look it up for you.  Once you have that wristband, noone ever asks again, to see anything.  I don't think anyone scanned the code on the health visa, but a lot of people looked at it.  EM

There is WiFi at the convention center. You can easily walk from any of the Baha mar hotels to the convention center via the casino which is connected to the hotels. Most of the distance is indoors in the A/C and once outside it's covered so you can stay in the shade and avoid the heat. It's not far at all.
