Dinner Reservations

Recommended Posts

Going on Edge 8/28/21. Already have Select Dining and a time scheduled for all nights. Considering going to all 4 restaurants in MDR. In your recent experience on the Edge, is it better to make the reservation for them online or wait until we are on board? From looking at the menus pre-pandemic, it seems each restaurant has 4 Specialties plus the standard dinner options across all 4 complimentary restaurants. Am I viewing that correctly? What can you tell me?

I would just schedule a time for each different restaurant so you get to experience all.  We are sailing in November and booked our standard dining room times and then a couple of specialty restaurants for the seven nights.  You can always change it.  Very easy to do on the planner.

1)  They choose 4 smaller MDRs vs one huge MDR

2)  You can order the exclusive MDR items from any MDR as it all comes from the same kitchen; the only difference is the atmosphere/change of scenery

3)  Shows are 7pm and 9pm, many lock in a 6pm reservation to make the 7pm show and adjust on board if needed; could always hit the buffet after the show for a quick bite if still hungry

4)  Cosmo is the only MDR open for breakfast and lunch, many avoid it for dinner as they spend a lot of time there for breakfast and lunch

Great points.  Number 2 in particular takes some of the stress out of deciding.  Hope it works that way on Apex too.
