With cruise ships at less than full capacity, cruise ports are also less crowded

It would be interesting to know how other ports around the world are doing🤔. I suspect there are cruisers who are enjoying the less crowded ports😉

I don't see how any ports can be crowded at this time expect for embarking / disembarking. 

As far as i am aware there are no excursions into the ports themselves. As you cannot get off the ship without paying for a official cruise line excursion, why would the ports be heaving with people? 

I have a cruise with Costa in September and will only be able to leave the ship on one of their excursions, are any cruise lines allowing you to get off the ship and do your own thing, at this time?
