How do i undisable y messages?

@The Two J's

The Message feature is disabled for members. It has been that way since before I became a member and then was invited to volunteer as a Host. Probably since Cruise Critic started on AOL over twenty-five years ago. At this time Administrators & Hosts can use the Message feature to contact each other and members. However, members cannot use the feature to reply back to the Administrators or Hosts.

I hope this additional information will be helpful to all reading this thread.

I have had the same issue intermittently during the past week.

Fortunately the editor seems to have saved the text if I click on the response box; so that I can hit submit again.

Certainly an annoying glitch that others have reported.

When I respond to a post I can type the answer but when I try to post the response all of my typing disappears. It appears it is going to post but nothing shows up.

what could be happening?

I have merged your thread into the existing thread where CC Help Jenn has posted and is Following the thread. She is looking into the situation with her tech team.

i have had the very same problem an hour or so ago. i composed a rather lengthy reply, hit submit... and poof... gone... post vanished into thin air.  i assumed it was because of the length  of the post; some admins on some boards have lengthy posts on a delay so they can be reviewed for appropriate content before being published.

that appears not to be the case.

this appears to be a glitch that has been going on for some time, is that right?

wouldn't it be a good idea to tell people about known defects, so they could compose offline and not lose their post?

I was trying to post on one browser in a thread I had started in that same browser, every time I clicked Submit Reply it just disappeared. This happened a few days ago in a different thread.

I just logged into a different browser and it let me post, very strange. Although the other day it wouldn’t let me post anywhere. I haven’t posted anything controversial or anything so no reason to get blocked.

Any ideas anyone??

I've had quite a few posts exhibit this same behavior. I've tried copying the text so I can paste it in another trial but give up after it bombs 5 or 6 times.  When I hit"submit" the text vanishes.

I cleared my cookies and site data from my browser, now it's working like it should !  (could not post the last couple of hours prior to that)

.. well... it worked for ONE post, now I can't post this reply... (will try multiple times)
