Casino: Points carrying over from March 2020 till March 2022?

Recommended Posts

Heard a rumor from Facebook:

2019-2020 Qualification period extended to March 2022.

So if you had 10k points on Feb 2020, you still have it for April 2021- March 2022 qualification period.

Hope it's true!

I hope this is true, too!  I had heard that they would extend your current tier status, but still it would be hard to requalify by 3/31/22 for the following year since so many of us are waiting for our first cruise.

It would be nice if would post this on the NCL CAS page or send us an email confirming our status.

if they're carrying over points till March 2022, then our tier status should carry over till March 2023.

Our tier status is good a year after the qualification period (ie: april 2021- march 2022) ends.

Heard on Facebook that NCL has announced to Staff that tier point expiration have been extended to March 31, 2022.

so whatever tier points you had on March 31, 2020 carry's over to march 31, 2022

Good news!   Is it a NCL FB account?  Can you share directions to find it?

I am dumb, please help me.

So what is the "earning" period (which dates) that would result in casino status for the 4/1/22 - 3/31/23 casino year?

Normally it would have been points earned from 4/1/21 - 3/31/22.  Right now I only have one cruise scheduled before 3/31/22 which I will probably wind up canceling, and I have not cruised since March 2020. (I had earned enough points by that cruise to maintain Ruby status until 3/31/21.)

Are we saying that I will still be Ruby for the 4/1/22 - 3/31/23 casino year no matter what - OR does this mean that the earnings period for the 22-23 casino year is still open? (i.e., if I did cruise prior to 3/31/22 those points would be added on to my existing points to move me towards Elite?)

I think I just confused myself worse. Please help lol.

Not an official NCL account. Just a (private) Casinos at Sea group of players. Search CAS spelled out since we can't post FB links here.

Casino said that you maintain your status from 2020. But have zero points in 2021. So you have from today through March 31, 2022 to requal.

Is that confirmed from NCL? (That is not what the Facebook rumor said.)

That’s what the hosts said on the ship 2 weeks ago.

The person who posted on FB said that the new process was announced to all of the CAS reps in a meeting yesterday.

The post said that current tier status was being being extended to March 31, 2023.  However, the following discussion was unclear as to whether or not you could still accumulate points  - hence my original question.

Good. Looking forward to seeing it in writing from something other than a rumor.

CAS had let their system do its normal processing and set tier levels based on play from April 2020 to March 2021… everyone had zero points and everyone had been set at the Jade level. That’s where it was around the time the Joy from Jamaica cruises were cancelled,,, because I rebooked at the Jade level.

Then the story changed to everyone retained their 2019 tier status, but had to requal between April 2021 and March 2020. That’s what I got from phone reps. I also got it from Christina Becca who is in NCL corporate player development, and who was the executive host on the Encore,,, ensuring a smooth restart (before going back to her corporate gig).

The new rumor makes sense. But CAS doesn’t always do what makes sense.

Royal is making everyone requal this year.

Not in writing to customers, but I just had my CAS rep read me verbatim from the NCL email that advised the team that all player tier status has been extended to 3/31/23.  The email was dated  8/27/21.

Nothing in the email about points being carried over....just that current status is extended.

is there some place on line one can go to see what tier status they are?

i know what status i started at on my last cruise, but after significant coin through, i would think i probably went up at least two more levels. any way to check current status?
