For those that have purchased Princess Plus, we were just setting up MedallionNet internet. There's a choice for redeem and purchase plans. Choose that, and it gives you an option to increase one device to four devices for only $35 for the week. This way we don't have to log off our phones and our laptops when were switching back and forth. I don't know if this was a bargain because we're Platinum, but at $35 it was a steal.

Pre-cruise pricing would be $10/day for a single device or $20/day for up to four devices at the same time. For platinum/elite the price is half that (with the other half currently returned as OBC).

So the $35 to upgrade for the week is exactly what 1/2 the upgrade would have been if offered pre-cruise. At least for this circumstance they are charging the pre-cruise price, not the regular onboard purchase price for platinum/elite.

If there is someone who did not have the Plus fare and waited until onboard to purchase an Internet plan, please post what pricing option(s) you were given.

But, fellow passengers will be eating together. Four couples, eight people?

Could just be be a “corporate policy” at this time. My company follows it’s own covid policy even when we are in buildings or places that have lesser restrictions.

Oooh. I'm glad to see they added a seating area this week for the elite. Sounds like you also boarded earlier too compared to last. As I always say trial and error as everyone is trying to get back in routine. Kuddos for the weekly improvement at the port.

We’re on this trip as well.  I hope that this thread will include a bit more of what’s off the ship (glaciers, wildlife) as well as all the onboard amenities, food, medallion app, etc. I’m looking forward to the naturalist  Michael Modzelewski’s presentation on Monday morning.

I walked down and watched the Norwegian Encore depart yesterday. They had a pretty good send off. There was a wedding on top of the cruise terminal just before the departure and the Seattle Fireboat was out putting on a show until the ship departed as it did when the Majestic departed on 7/25.   azbirdmom, you may have seen it since it was just aft of the ship?

The naturalists they had onboard were fantastic with great presentations. Including the park rangers presentation on glacier bay day. I did like that Michael also came on the PA from the bridge to point out some wildlife and which side of the ship to look for them. Besides the whales we had some bears swimming and tons of groups of others backstroking.

Embarkation day salmon was as good as ever. I’m now in the laundry room so I thought I’d check out tonight’s menu and order a drink while I wait for my clothes to dry. No luck on either count, and it appears the White Screen of Death is on board also.

To view the menu, the best way is through the webruwser on their intranet. Go to majestic.princess.com

Just click on the three dots on the bottom right and then on the very last option there's one that says locations and hours. Click on one of the main dining rooms doesn't matter because it's the same menu regardless. Then there's a little blue link that says view menu. You can view breakfast, lunch, and dinner. To be advised it does take him a while to switch over the menu during the day for lunch and for dinner a lot of times the lunch menu didn't appear but they do have the menus posted outside of all three dining rooms including the AFT of the lido deck for viewing. Dinner usually appears maybe an hour before dinner serviced on the web browser.

I visited the Captain's Circle Hostess to drop off invitations for the officers to our Meet & Greet (tomorrow at 10 am -11am at the Hollywood Conservatory).

While I was chatting with her I asked if she had the cutoff yet for the MTP event and she said it was 455 days.  We are nowhere near that mark but I am fairly certain some among us will be able to share more details about it.

Yes, Tina and I spoke about this last cruise. I kind of already knew in advance how these sailings were going to go which was your most loyal passengers we're going to be some of the first people to sign up to go on these Alaska cruises as it's the first to reappear since the restart. No surprise here. But it is nice to see the amount of loyalty to a brand. I'd be curious to know how many elite are on on your sailing. Last week the combination of platinum and delete was about a third of the ship.

Most Traveled Guest luncheon will be the last sea day in Harmony with no officers at the tables. We are #4 with 1230 days; the top 3 are about 3000, 2000 and 1400 days.  Captains Circle parties are Glacier Bay evening. PES Lounge is daily from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the Hollywood Conservatory, which, thankfully, has not been made into a Sanctuary.

Bravo!!!! I idolize you!!! One day, I'll get to your status of number of days out to sea. Very impressive.

Thanks so much for doing this! One tiny thing if you would check for me - Sur La Mer breakfast/brunch menu. I see it is open for those meals but have seen nothing about the menus for those times. I hope you have a wonderful cruise and please do check in and let us know how it is going!

Unfortunately they're only open for dinner not for brunch at all. Which is why you haven't seen the menus for those. When the sky princess first came out when they were sailing gear up they did have brunch but that never really rolled over after it left Europe during its inaugural season. And I've never seen it open for brunch on any of the ships.

Everyone gets in a single line to go through document check then security. If you don’t have your medallion or if you aren’t fully checked in there are more lines from there. We were good to go and they weren’t boarding the ship yet so we went to the seating areas. They had Elite, Platinum, and folks in the A group and when they started boarding that’s the order they went in. I didn’t hear them specify any other priority boarding for full suites and club class although I suspect that they were putting those folks in with the Elites - just a guess though.

The last I was aware, Suites & Elites were grouped together and Club Class was grouped with Platinum for boarding (unless of course they were also Elite).

IDK if that is consistent everywhere, every time, but it was the theory.

Does anyone recall seeing the "wine table" during check-in at the terminal?  Perhaps all the posters went with PLUS and were not bringing excess wine aboard.

This is for the early arrivals - pre-boarding mostly.  I have found the "wine table" is never setup and manned/womaned for early-birds, so they just end up assessing corkage at the dinner table if applicable.

I didn’t see one but then we were on early. And for the first time in a long time we didn’t bring any on. The drink package will do us just fine.

Mind boggling. They "only" had a year and a half to lay in supplies and couldn't get it right. We have only had one cruise as Elite. It took 3 days to get the mini bar and then it was totally borked. This really isn't rocket surgery. They know what they offer in the mini bar. If they have any sort of brain at all they know what are the most often swapped items. I really don't understand how they can be so freaking incompetent with the mini bar setup. (***This part deleted by poster. Someone would likely get their knickers in a twist.***)

I just called room service.  I asked about the 12 pack of water that I pre purchased and they said that they just got them and were delivering today. Also asked about the scotch and Perrier. They said that they would have those later today too. I was envisioning a cargo ship coming alongside but then I think the more logical answer is that they are on the ship and just haven’t made it to room service yet. They also said that the room stewards are doing the swaps. That was sometimes an option before but now they said it’s the only way.

Good morning. Last nights dinner in the club class section was wonderful. We both had the special dish of the night- mahi mahi with pesto pasta. Went back to the room and got pictures of the sunset. Took the first one from the balcony and darned near got blown off it was so windy. So the rest are from the bedroom window including the last one taken this morning. The clouds are coming in.

We enjoyed Carlos Oscar and spent a little time in the casino. It was crowded and smoky so we were back in the room early. Had the best night sleep in a while. I forgot how wonderful it is being rocked to sleep.

Is that one of the lido deck forward cabins?

We’ve never done club class dining before but will have it on our cruise in a few weeks. When you arrived at the dining room were you seated right away or did you have to wait? We normally like to eat around 6 so I’m wondering if there will be a wait and if so then we’ll just keep our DMW reservation and forgo the club class option. Also how was the service? I saw one post that the service was very slow in the MDR.
