HAL tenders at Lahaina and Kona, both right into downtown. They dock at Lihue...there is only one dock big enough in the harbor near the airport. Same at Hilo...only one dock big enough. There is two choices of piers in Honolulu, I believe the pier numbers are 2 and 14

HAL doesn't always anchor in Lahaina - they sometimes will switch to dock in Kahului and that can be a last-minute change.  They normally dock at Pier 2 in Honolulu.

HAL? Not that I have heard. If its last minute, I assume its generally unplanned, so that would be a surprise to the OP.. But Carnival does dock in  Kahalui, and there is only one dock large enough for the cruise ships to dock.
