We are on this cruise as well and it's countdown time. Covid test done and results back - we're Normal. Paperwork printed out for scooter/rollator rental, and now starting on the packing. Meet and Greet reminders still to be printed.

Today in our part of the Pacific Northwest it's very, very, warm and smokey!

We're still group D 1:00 PM boarding and still in 5001 so now upgrade/upsell for us.

Day 4 in Seattle.

Today was all about the wine. Our friend John picked us up at our hotel and we were off to Woodinville and our first stop was at Novelty Hill -Januik winery where we sat outside; you had to go get each round of wine tasting at the bar and return to get the next one (“please bring your glass back”). The wine was just OK but we enjoyed the charcuterie board. It was rather disappointing since the only way to learn more about the wines you had to read it off the menu.

With more than an hour to the second tasting, we popped into Chateau Ste. Michelle that had no availability for a tasting but we could each enjoy a glass of wine, which was very nice.

Next we drove around the corner to our second tasting: DeLille Cellars. By now it was getting really hot and we were glad that they only had seating inside! The experience here was much better, with Bob tending to us with lots of information about the wines, the cellar, his mustang and other topics. The wines were excellent and we bought enough bottles to make the tasting free!  We highly recommend DeLille!

John then took us on a drive through a couple of neighborhoods, churches (his childhood parish of St. Peter’s and St. Mark’s Cathedral, al closed unfortunately). We then ended up at the Ballard Locks and watched a few boats pass through from Puget Sound to Salmon Bay.

Dinner was not on the roof deck at the hotel tonight: it was so hazy that it did not look like it would be a nice sunset; we opted for sushi nearby.

Back at the hotel we did a load of laundry, which was free since the app used to pay for the machines gave you $5 credit as a new user.

Well, tomorrow morning we will repack, check out at 11 AM, drop of our rental car (in town, no need to drive back to SeaTac) and head to the ship.

We have had a great time in Seattle and now we are ready for a dam cruise, and cooler weather! See you onboard.

It was unanimous (and we bought some):

2020 Roofline White

2018 D2 (red).

I also liked the 2020 Chaleur Blanc.
