with hurricane season now upon us, how will Covid restrictions affect changes of itinerary?

I normal times, cruise lines easily change itineraries to avoid hurricanes. But now with some Caribbean nations closing their ports totally or not allowing ships with unvaccinated passengers will alternate routes during a hurricane become more difficult to find?

Routes - no:  there are plenty of options for courses away from storm-impacted areas.  But there is likely to be many more sea days due to the lack of welcoming ports.

We may be finding that Cruises to Nowhere will again become unintentionally possible.  😁
