Jim spells it Iain, not Lain, in all of the posts where he specifically names him, so yes, the Irish spelling.

My husband’s name is Yiwei…unlimited AI drinks for anyone who knows how it is pronounced!

Found out that our tour  was arranged by https://www.kantours.com/new-and-exciting-island-tours-and-excursions/exciting-history-tour/    They were the company offering tours at the end of the piers in St. Kits.

But to be clear, no one could have taken a 'pick up' tour at the end of the pier, correct?  Or were these ship's tours that they were loading up as well?  A  bit confused about that.  I haven't been keeping up, so I don't know if it's Celebrity + government approved or as on the X web page, Celebrity organized only.

Wow, whoever I told I couldn’t use tunnelbear on a flip phone may have been premature!   Turns out the new flip phone that att just sent us, without a manual, actually will connect to wifi!  Who knew!   Of course doing much on the phone because of the keyboard makes me wonder why I’d need vpn!   As I think about it I wonder whether my Bluetooth keyboard will connect🤔😉

Jim & Iain, many thanks for taking us along and sharing your adventures with us. I really appreciate your diligence and attention to detail. The pictures you post have been excellent. Thank you so much.

A quick question, if I may. Would you be blogging the second leg of your B2B on this same thread or are you planning on starting a separate thread. I’d love to continue to follow your journey, hence the question.

Hope you both continue to enjoy the second leg of your B2B, including the upgraded Penthouse suite.

Our next stop on the tour was Brimstone Hill Fortress. It’s a UNESCO site but not appropriate for those with mobility issues.

I was worn out after the tour and took a short nap.   2 hours later I woke up.

Thanks for sharing all the wonderful photos!

Your St. Kitts adventure looks marvelous!

I was really pleased with the tour.   Albeit I recalled that  we had been to St Kitts after all.   All day long I was saying I was having Deja Vue moments until we got to the Fortress then totally remembered.    It must have been 7 years ago.

Iain wasn't up for the tour but  said he was surprising pleased and enjoyed it a lot.

Jim, thank you again for such lovely posts, photos and sharing your experience as you and your husband enjoy your journey!  It is a voice of reason, tranquility and I for one look forward everyday to reading what you post.  You obviously are a go with the flow guy, in troubled times, I do what I can do and let the rest happen and need not fret.  Awesome attitude and blog, thanks for sharing this!!

Thanks.   I am indeed a glass half full type of guy.      Life is too short to get upset over things for which we have no control.    As much as I can I do contingent planning for alternatives.

I'm just so happy we are back at sea and have been having a blast.

I 2nd this.  I’m on the cruise and I look forward to seeing and hearing about the journeys.  Great pics and great info!!

Scott -  Thanks for all your wonderful posts.   We each enjoy a cruise in our own separate ways and you are giving a nice balance.    Would be good if we had someone who posted about the entertainment.   I hear the Night Adults Only Comedy show as fun and some of the show.    We have seen so many of the shows we never go any longer.

YES!  The salmon!  We LOVED that salmon and ate it almost every day we were on the ship.  Missed it enormously when they stopped serving it.  😕

Joanie

I do enjoy the fish and each fish dish - Dover Sole (Murano),  Peppered Tuna, Black Bass,  and Flounder have all been perfectly prepared.    I enjoy Salmon but being in California we have it available all the time at a  very low price.

Fabulous photos of Romney Manor and Caribelle Batik. We go there every time we're  on St Kitts, and never leave empty handed. In fact I just finished making a dress from the fabric I bought on our last visit. Brings back great memories. I'm so glad you're having such a good time on your cruise

They had some really nice items.    We try not to buy things anymore as we are trying to de-clutter as part of our Estate Planning.   It's amazing how much we have had boxed up and never see or  use.

You on the other hand are able to put your purchases to good use.

Guess I should have asked -- if you had considered this prior to the cruise, would it have been arranged in advance, or must this be done while aboard?

I think you could arrange in advance by the link earlier in the post of the actual tour group or book early.   Hearing of all the cancelled tours we decided to take it one day at a time and were pleased with the results.

Personal Tours were indeed available at the end of the pier.    Originally it was stated it was impossible but just before arrival a request to the Government made it possible.   We are the first ship to port for the season so things are a work in progress.

I posted a link earlier of the tour company at the end of the pier that you can arrange privately prior to cruise.

Beautiful pictures Jim.

I thought the limit you are allowed to upload was 5. This has obviously been increased.

I'm not sure of the limit but haven't hit it yet.      The  internet speed has been decent and  that  large post was uploaded in less than 3 minutes.   In the past I would have to use my finger to keep the phone from going into sleep mode to allow it to fully upload.

I think I will just continue on the same thread as that is what is in the title.   I just feel sorry for anyone that wants to join and catch up.   We are a chatty bunch and I LOVE IT.

We have been to the Fortress a few times...I remember these steps quite well. They are even steeper and longer than they look in the photo. It looks like you made it up them up ...all that walking you do helped! 😀

Whenever Jim starts a live blog, I have a little competition to try and guess the page in the thread that has the first occurrence of "Lain". It came much later than I guessed this time, but as Jim says, it's been a chatty thread.
