Would like to purchase insurance from my cruise. Who uses Carnival insurance, and who using a 3rd party? Not sure of the differences.

TIA!

Carnival insurance provides a minimum amount of coverage for medical which could represent your greatest risk. Do you have other insurance that will cover you out of country in addition to the travel policy?

It does not cover pre-existing conditions. Does that apply to you? It could if you take any prescription meds on a regular basis.

It does offer a cancel-for-any-reason provision which will give you FCC. You’ll pay extra for that with third-party insurance and get 75% cash reimbursement.

Carnival may cost less than another policy with similar coverage and dollar limits because age is not considered in the premium.

The decision of which policy to buy depends greatly on your individual needs and risk tolerance. A number of websites let you compare policies that comply with your state’s regulations. Try one like insuremytrip and enter Covid-friendly in the search engine to see your options.
