Day 5 MDR the eggplant caviar was very interesting and I am glad I tried it.  The steak diane was a mix bag some table liked it some did not.  They are very liberal with the way they describe food so their description might not meet your expectation.

Day 5 there was a run on escargot at the main dinning room… the server told me that every other table was ordering it so it took a little longer but it was hot and fresh… also the boat was rocking a bit so the kite hen had to tie down some things so that slowed operation down a bit.

Day 6 Debarkation Day… one of the quickest fastest debarkation ever.  We did self assist and we walked out of our room at 7:51 and exited custom by 8:06.  No wait for the elevator, no wait at custom and we were the only two walking through the terminal the whole time.  It was so unreal and I would not expect that as they ramp up rapidly.  Best of all there was no Uber surge pricing at the terminal either.  I am glad I made my flight before noon this time vs. waiting around at the airport for 6 hours!

I'm putting on pounds just salivating over you food porn pictures.    You really know how to hurt a guy at home.

yikes!!!  Sorry about that !!! 😋 the food was excellent overall… there were a few hiccups here and there but you can tell they really put in the effort!!!  The next ship will be the APEX in January and will be my first big ship on Celebrity so hopefully there will be plenty of new food creations for me to take pictures.

Good review.   We were on board with you.     We also ate in the MDR every night.   Generally thought the quality of the food was VERY VERY good, compared to other MDR experiences.    I particularly liked the French Onion Soup, the beef carpaccio, the short ribs, the prime rib on night 1, and the orange sherbet they fouund for me every night for dessert.

Had breakfast every day in Oceanview most every morning.    We usually avoid the buffet but with 52 on board, everyone could be there at once and it wouldn't be too crowded.    The fresh eggs and omelets were good, the pastries were crazy good, and the fruit was fresh every morning.   And the service there was top shelf.    With so few on board, there was someone to tend to your every want.    Never had to ask for a coffee refill, the BROUGHT ME my fresh egg order, and buttered my muffins for me.      Service level throughout the ship was superior.

Enjoyed all your pics.   Wish we could have stowed away for the next sailing.

I was really good on my last back to back and only put on 2 pounds but once home and normal salt intake I was back to my normal weight.

You have a great eye for photography and really enjoy all of it.

That is great.  I know what you mean about the salt lol… I am currently drinking extra water to flush the sodium out.

Wow!  We probably said hello and didn’t even know it!  I considered this as a once in a life time experience where there are more staff than guests on board and the service was beyond extraordinary.  I certainly would not expect this as they revamp back up and definitely would not expect this on the Apex in January.  Next time we will have to coordinate to say hello.

Day 4 Sea Day… Captain’s Club wine tasting… it was simple and nice that they are still doing it and what else are you going to do at 11 AM 😆

I've not seen this on any of my cruises.  Is this for all Captains Club members or just Elite?
