Day 1

Spa Interior … this room is classified as an interior room but it is actually a balcony room but without the balcony.  It is very spacious.

Yes!!! We stayed in one of these Premium Interior rooms (not Cloud9 Spa Interior) back in October and I LOVED it.

I've got 17215 booked for my next sailing on Mardi Gras (Cloud9 Spa Interior), so I'm REALLY excited now! I thought it would just be a traditional-style interior room.

HAVE FUN! Say hi to Georges on the Serenity Deck for me ... he was so great about bringing me pitchers of margaritas.

Yesssssss…. When I first walked I was like OMG this room is huge and then it was explained to me why.  It is very quiet and our neighbors seems to be very quiet as well.

We were three women in an interior stateroom and we were SO spoiled by the space. It will be hard to cruise again without it! We have the exact same room booked on the Celebration.

Day 1

they have switched the wording on masks and I have heard multiple staff asking people to put mask up around the ship.

Are all of the bars "sip and cover" or just the casino bar?  I would hate to have to wear a mask at Fortune Teller or Brass Magnolia while sitting down with a drink and listening to music at night!

All INSIDE bars are under sip and cover … I have not been to outside bars because they are PACKED and I can’t even get close… no one is wearing mask at the outside from what I can see … that does NOT mean it is allowed it is just from what I can see.

Well, that's unfortunate.

You get the occasional reminder but no one is running towards the first unasked person to tell them about the face mask in between sips.  I did see servers at the buffet asking people to mask up.  The buffet is self serve.

Oh no, that is what I was afraid of.  I was on Mardi Gras on Halloween and did "sip and cover" in the casino.  It was not fun, but I understood because the casino was packed.  I just don't feel that my vacation would be the same if I had to "sip and cover" with before dinner drinks on formal night.  There is plenty of table spacing in most bar areas.  John Heald said that they would not offer to move cruises because of this and you would have to pay your normal  penalty. I think that is ridiculous as these changes affect your enjoyment of the cruise.  In the past when protocols changed, you were able to get FCC or move your cruise.  When we were on Mardi Gras a couple of months ago, we wore our masks when "on the move", in the casino, at the shows, etc.  It wasn't fun, but we dealt with it.  I feel this goes too far and takes away from the "fun".  There are outside bars, but they were packed back then.  There really won't be enough room on deck for people under these circumstances.

Sip and Cover in all indoor venues?  Yea.. I think that is the nail in the coffin for me.  Would love to know if this is actually being enforced.  I have been on 6 cruises since COVID with various mask rules and NONE have had "sip and cover."

I totally get it.  I don’t see them chase people at bar about the mask but they do make announcements every 30 minutes or so about mask at the casino and the supervisor is walking around checking mask compliance.  I truly believe they want you to have a good time but they have to enforce the corporate policy.

Day 1

ChiBang for dinner … it took less than 10 minutes for our table to be ready and we strolled in with our wine and ready to eat!  I have to say that the complimentary food on Mardi Gras is better than NCL and Royal Caribbean.  I find the food actually have flavor.  The Chinese food is pretty on point.  The service and the attitude of the staff is great on Mardi Gras but better on NCL and the best on Royal Caribbean.  On Mardi Gras the staff don’t proactively say hello which fine with me but it’s different.
