VermeulT Posted January 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2022 I'm sailing on the Rotterdam April 3rd Caribbean sailing. I have periodically started a dummy book order to see if rates had dropped &/or cabin availability changed. Some point last week I noticed that with my Private Sale rate, my rate did not change but my guest #2 was now 50%. I tried to call HAL during the limited hours last week, I stayed on hold for over 3 hours. I finally got in touch with my PCC today. She said to take advantage of the rate change it would require a cancel and rebook, but because we had applied FCC which had a use by date of 12/31, we would loose our FCC's if we rebooked. I went ahead and made final payment while I had PCC on the phone. Do I try to speak to someone else to see if we can get any consideration for the fact that I couldn't reach anyone at HAL last week to make the change while the FCC's were still able to be rebooked? Rare Oceansaway17 Posted January 3, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2022 I think ag this point I would let it slide and leave the reservation as is. Sometimes too much fuss messes things up.
Rare Andi Land Posted January 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2022 I would ask. Maybe they can offer some onboard credit instead of a rebook.
