Yes, I'm Back!  Even if I wish I was still there and some of the crew said I should stay on.

Funny each cruise, they say you're staying on? If didn't see me a day, say where were you?

Then finally I had to say---I'm having to leave!  Few will still be there when I go back at the

the end of Feb. for the Panama Canal two cruises.  Hope cruises not cancelled.

I enjoyed my cruises but as you know cruising is different now.  I missed some things.

Changed a few more things as cruises went along and the virus was growing out in

the real world. Most people were good in doing what they should be doing but always a

few who thought the rules weren't for them, they were special, yeah right, special idiots!

The cruises I went on weren't exciting just Mexico and the Coastal. (Was supposed to be

some Hawaii cruises till Hawaii cancelled) Already had my mind to sail after 19 months of

not sailing. Helped that most were free.  This time I went just for the cruises not the

ports. Since I had a balcony could just sit there and enjoy the warm weather, loved it.

The crew was really nice, friendly and would do anything for you. They were glad to be

back at work. They really kept the ship clean, cleaning all day. Every crew member on the ship

no matter their job, wore their masks all the time.

I had a wonderful room steward, had him the whole time and the same balcony room

the whole time.   Not moving cabins was great.

Felt safe the whole time, had 7 tests in 7 days. The test free in between cruises when

doing b2b's. Everyone with shots, wearing masks and the ship less than half full or

even less.  Highest cruise was 1500, less one was only 600. Ship holds 3000+

So, no lines, empty elevators, plenty of seats in buffet, and not full dining rooms.

Nice to sail with empty ship but sure Cruise Lines don't like it--losing money.

Now good news---After 55 days--"drum roll"--No gain--Stayed the Same--Wonderful

Weighed the day I came home and the next day--the same. Didn't overeat, didn't

have to many desserts but did have my Mud Slide drinks (not all the time) and some

coffee drinks that were like desserts! Think what helped was the walking, from ships

bow to aft and all around.

Now bad news--Been eating since I've been home, only a few days but haven't been

shopping --eating what's in the house--"carbs" so may have a gain after a few days home--

stupid of me. Not walking like I was on the ship. Makes a difference to. Will have to see

when I weigh.

Glad to be back, hope you all are well and doing well. See not many were talking this week

Hugs to ALL

Belle Glad you are home safe.  Usually after a week I’m ready to get home. I did have a great walking routine on last cruise.

I’m still in my range but having issues with munching in the evening. My sense of taste favorite food taste blah.  Still walking with Jazzper and have incorporated walking the sloops of retention ponds  (30 - 45 degree  grade easier and more convenient that stairs)

My  Uncruise to sea of Cortes is in 2 weeks.  Everything is arranged ,  air, shuttle,pre-night hotel,  covid testing,  dog sitter.  This cruise is physically active, hiking, snorkeling,  kayaking,  I’m very excited.

Welcome back Belle!  You did So Much better than I have done!  After 54 days on ships (not consecutively) I have found 9 of the 25 pounds that I had lost!  I also walk every morning on ship.  After having both hips replaced over the years I really enjoy walking.  It is my celebration of life to be able to walk without pain.  I guess I need to increase the amount of walking (since I am probably not going to decrease intake while on ship😁).  The other problem (not really a problem) is that we are leaving on 20 more days next week!  Hope everyone is doing well and will be posting all along....Susan

I did it--Stayed the same on the cruise and the time at home. I'm happy!

What helps is even thro you can have as much as you want serving portions

on the ships are smaller. Less people on ships sailing now. Not sure what their

getting in their supplies and they don't want wasted food.

Now to try to lose in next 5 weeks before the 30-day Panama. Need to lose.

Izena--You do good on your walking. Do you think you would do as much if

you didn't have a dog?  No dog here and not much walking anymore. Flat

walking is fine for me, but stairs are harder as I get older. I to like something to

munch on in the evening that is good and not weight gaining.

Your trip sounds wonderful and tiring. How many days do you have to do all that?

Sure next 2 weeks will fly by and you'll be having fun. Still here for a few weeks.

Want to Thank You for starting our posts each Thursday. Have to keep it going.

Just wish more people would come in. We used to have bigger groups. Don't know

if they hit goal (still need us) gave up or what. Miss them all.

Susan--9 lbs really isn't that much to gain on 54 days. I think why easier not to

gain is I'm sailing solo, can eat when, where any time I want or not eat. Harder

for you since with husband and sure he doesn't want to skip a meal. My Panama

cruise, 1st 15 days by myself, next 15 with my daughter will probably eat more

because I'm with her then 1st 15 days.

Yes, not a problem you're sailing in 20 days, know what you mean. Where are you going?

Have a great time. Still have time here and maybe lose a pound before you sail.

I hope everyone comes in soon so can say Hello. Jo, Jan, Ombud, Mtn, Mommy of 3--who am I missing?

Is anyone on a cruise right now?

Take care all.

Hi all!

Belle ~ thanks for the words of encouragement. Sounds like you had a great time on your cruises. I liked my 1st BTB & not having to change cabins.

Izena ~ that snacking in the evenings is what does me in. I'm back on MFP & see I'm eating more calories in snacks than most meals!! Sounds like an easy solution to losing weight but I do like my snacks.

2 weeks from today I should be in New Orleans to start my cruises on Feb 6th, that is if  my nonstop flights &  Covid tests are okay.🤞

Susan ~ that was good only gaining 9 lbs in all that time. Wow, another 20 days of cruising!! I don't know how you & Belle manage such long cruises, I can't take more than 14 or so days.

Anyhow I'm down a little this week, 0.2 lbs, so not much, but at least not a gain.

Have a nice weekend & stay safe.

~ Jo ~ 😊

I forgot to weigh myself again ... need to get back into being healthy

Belle, glad you are back and that you had a good time.  Our December cruise was fun - but, found that some of the people on board didn't follow rules - haven't posted about it, and probably won't, but found that I was amazed by what some people feel is ok ... interesting.

Hopefully I will weigh in tomorrow.  DH has really been on a health kick and is losing weight each week.

Hope everyone's week is going well.  Jan

Hello everyone.

Jo--your cruise was your 1st b2b. glad you like it. Yes, better if don't have to

change cabins. Jo, I love long cruises, I wasn't ready to get off, could have stayed longer.

See Susan likes them too.

Sailing from New Orleans, have you done it before?  We did almost once, didn't work out.

Let me know how you liked it. Do you have time to see the city?   Any loss is a good loss!

Jan--You had a loss that's good. Good for your husband but---men make me mad😄 Seem

they lose easier maybe not but always faster!

Yes, some people don't feel the rules apply to them. Had a couple on the ship I had to say

you knew the rules when you booked so follow them.  That was on just one cruise. Otherwise

seems everyone was following the rules during my cruises.

Hope we all try to be eating healthy this weekend.  Know weekends are harder and

especially in cold weather. Want comfort food but we can do it. Still haven't shopped but had

chicken breasts in freezer so cooked a couple (all there was) so have leftovers for Sat.

Take care

Hi all!

Jan ~ nice loss!!

Belle ~ I haven't sailed from New Orleans, just into it once. I'm spending 3 nights before the cruise so hope to do the HOHO bus, a trolley ride & a paddlewheel jazz? boat cruise. The transfer to the airport last time took us to a few places so had a nice overview of the City  & I did go to the War Museum, I think it was called. I'm looking forward to seeing more & eating local.

Have a nice weekend & stay safe.

~ Jo ~ 😊

Belle I have always enjoyed walking.   Did Avon’s walk for breast cancer x3 (fund raising was a challenge ).  The walk was 60 miles in 3 days — loved it.    Jazzper only allowed a mile this morning.

My cruise is only a week which is enough for me.  Tend to be ready to get off ship in a week.

I’ve had. Two disorienting dreams in past view days.  One abt a house I lived in in 80’s.. was half awake when realized it’s location BUT couldn’t re orient myself to current house until. opened eyes.   Then another weird home which involved ex of 35 years ago, my   dead parents  and don’t location.  Very disturbing.

I’m struggling with keeping weight stable.   I think it is pre cruise jitters.  I’m a nervous Nelly until get to embarkation.

Hello all. Thought I wrote today, it's gone. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Jo--Sounds like a good time in New Orleans doing those things before your cruise.

Yes, shuttle or bus driving to airport is nice since you can see the sights.

Sorry I had to cancel the one time we were going. Maybe one day.

You're going to the Caribbean? West or East?

Izena--Nice you still enjoy walking and did those walks.

I used to like to walk, getting out now, don't want to. I do like walking on the ships.

There you're looking at the sea when outside or walking bow to aft inside is fun.

Know some people don't like long cruises but I do. Whether I do lots of things or just

read and relax.

Sorry your having disturbing dreams. I dream a lot too. Sometimes when off a cruise

the 1st morning back, have to think a moment where I am. Usually half awake and

need to use the bathroom.

You'll have fun on your cruise it's just a different kind so maybe why the jitters.

You'll be doing lots of outdoor/water actives. Have to hear about when you come home.

Ombud hasn't been posting last few weeks is she on a cruise?  Wish all the people that came

in here, would come back in, like them to stay but if not just come in at least and tell us how

they are doing. These last two years there's been so much going on just like to know their

alright.

Ate not too bad over the weekend - Right now the temperature is 12 and we are to get snow (again) overnight - so I really need to watch the grazing!   Winter is always difficult - it is a time for "comfort food" and I have no motivation to lose all this weight that keeps settling around my waist!

My saving grace is to keep coming here!!

So, Belle - tell us about your cruise - what did you do, etc.  Did you win at the casino - what do you like - the slots, table games, etc?  I got a letter from RCL about a "free" two-three day cruise - guess I'm not giving them enough money for more - I do enjoy slots and almost always come back with everything that I went with for gambling.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  Jan

WOW! I went food shopping today after not going for about 75 to 80 days.

The prices and some empty shelves. Had to go, cupboards were bare and

fridge too.

Also ran errands and got my booster shot. Couldn't get before my cruise.

Hope I'm fine tomorrow--will see. Little discomfort but I feel fine.

Jan, I don't think I could live in that weather. Have you lived there all your life?

This California girl would turn to ice.

I enjoyed my cruise even without doing too much. Remember was suppose be Hawaii

cruises that got cancelled. So, Mexico and coastal. Little boring since doing those ports

many times. Didn't plan to get off in Mexico for that reason and safety. Many did get off

but many like me who didn't. One port I wanted to get off was Catalina, Ca during

coastal but of course heavy rain and winds and a tender port, so was cancelled.

I really enjoy doing different things on the ship, my balcony was great.  Was happy just to cruise and see the sea.  Like reading books on cruises. Real books in my hands. Ruby has a good

library, full of book. Like the shows and the different music groups. Had 6 special lunches

for being one of most traveled. Had two free dinners in Sabatini's.

Off course did the casino, I like cards and the slots did both. 1st night won $978 on Quick Hit.

Trouble you can lose fast on slots but that's where you get the most points for cruising

and can win bigger pots. Won off and on.

Really like cards, Three Card or the Poker Game where only have to beat dealer, not

the other Poker Table. You last longer at the tables.  Won off and on too. After 55 days

didn't come back ahead but did bring some money home. Won a few drawings.

This is really where I got to know the crew. All knew my name without the Medallion.

Kept asking me, coming back next cruise, finally said I was leaving, said stay for one more.

Everyone friendly and nice and the whole ship. few will still be there when I do the Panama Canal.

So happy this went thru last night (the post above) was typing and it started to act up.

Pushed the submit, didn't know if went thru. Everything I clicked on just scrolled to the

bottom of page. Today again not working and of course did what every mother would

do, I call my son. Told me to try something, it worked. Aren't we glad we have smart children.

I know was going to write more but can't remember what now.

Hope everyone is fine today. Know some getting ready for cruises soon but you haven't left.

Come in and talk. I ate a little bit more yesterday because of shopping but the scale stayed the same.

today. Have to be good so doesn't show up tomorrow.
