Last we knew she is finishing refurb in March and her first sailing all spiffed up is April 1, Rome to Barcelona. Laurence Barasse, who is currently the F and B Director on Riviera, has been promoted to GM and takes over Nautica in Early March to honcho the project and get her ready for guests. Anyone on board, congratulate her and wish her well on this much deserved promotion. Now there are two female GM’s working for Oceania.

Yes, and an absolutely delightful lady. She runs a great operation and still has time for the guests. We spent 46 days with her on Riviera and she was ever so gracious. Even when we had a housekeeping  plumbing issue, toilet backup due to a guest major faux pax, she was already aware of the issue and involved in solutions and a Suite swap. We enjoyed our time with her so much we invited her to dinner in Prive. Definitely a talented, class lady who will do well in her new assignment. 💜👍🙏

Lawrence is male and Laurence is female in France.

Ciao, Mauibabes

She is going to look like the other three R Class ships that have already had their refurbishment. Perhaps people who have sailed on or are sailing on Insignia can show you how she looks now. We have not been on  an R ship since they were refurbed so I have no frame of reference.

She will be beautiful and definitely clean and safe to resume sailing. Enjoy your return to sailing.

Here's a live webcam of Genoa Port.

The cranes have moved about a bit.

I'm booked on a Japan cruise in 2023.  Hopefully Covid and Asian turmoil will subside.  Been trying to do this cruise for 3 years now
