Wow!  Just got off the Ruby and hinted to staff that Galveston would be a great place to return.  I'll take credit!

 

The Grand out of Galveston was my first cruise ever.  Rode the Caribbean Princess out of HOU but did not have the magic of Galveston

My first cruise was also the Grand Princess out of Galveston.  The timing never worked out for me to cruise out of Houston.  I'm thrilled we're getting so many choices out of Galveston.

Choices are Royal , Carnival , Disney , Princess and Norwegian.

At least two will have Newest and Largest,  and one will have  Largest

Just a note: according to the article linked in the op, bookings will not be open until APRIL 7. 
Just want to save you some time and frustration searching for a cruise that’s not available to book just yet.  Only 3 days away though…..,.
