Documentation from airline required for claim

Recommended Posts

Southwest April first we made to Baltimore but connecting flight was cancelled and they rebooked us two days later.

we made alternate arrangements and made it to cruise on time

travel insurance claim form requests reason and time span of trip delay

i called Southwest and they recommended emailing

i emailed and received auto response that i would be answered within 10 days

is there any easier way to get this documentation?

That's pretty much it.

I had the same with Alaska Airlines. The biggest difference, I think, is that I have elite status on that airline. I called the special number for the elites, and I received my e-mail in about 30 minutes.

I guess there is a huge divide between the very experienced travelers such as yourself and the less experienced who probably don't even usually buy travel insurance and so don't need to make claims.

With all the travel disruptions of April first I thought it would be a hot topic!

And my credit card might possibly offer a small benefit but it is complicated.

The credit card coverage is covered by an insurance company, maybe even the same one your dealing with now.😐 Any case they're likely want the same documentation.
