Rare Peregrina651 Posted May 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2022 In addition to what Squawkman just said: It does not matter how many cruises you have already taken; this is the discount. There are no loyalty tiers. If you book a future cruise on board, the discount is doubled. Viking occasionally offers double discount as a booking incentive. One more thing: if a future cruise is booked within 14 days of disembarkation, there’s an additional perk of $200pp shipboard credit. This applies to river and ocean cruises, but not to any cruise already booked on board.
MWINT Posted August 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) Does anyone know if this is the same for the UK? The website here doesn’t mention the doubling of the discount when booking within a year of disembarking. Thanks Mark Edited August 21, 2022 by MWINT
sugarside Posted August 21, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Confirmed to me last week that discount in UK is doubled to £200 if you book a new cruise within 30 days of returning from your last cruise. Did this and it is confirmed in my invoiced e mail.
MWINT Posted August 21, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Thanks for the response, shame it’s not the year though. 👍

Moonlion Posted August 21, 2022 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2022 We booked two cruises while onboard our January 2022 Northern Lights cruise, and got lots of perks: $400/person Past Guest Level 1 Discount on both cruises (they were offering a double past guest discount), plus an additional $200/person discount for the British Isles Explorer cruise and $300/person discount for the South American & Chilean Fjords cruise (the discount was based on the length of cruise). Our final payment was extended to 6 months before departure, and our deposit was reduced to $250/person per cruise. We also got $400 OBC for the NL cruise.

Shame really as the next cruise we want to book isn’t available yet (Venice to Istanbul September 2024). Edited August 24, 2022 by MWINT
