LadyBerard Posted June 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2022 I booked a cruise two days ago. Paid it in full, as final was the third week of June, and I'd be away. Yesterday, called Royal Caribbean because I saw the fare had dropped. They refared it, but did not say if I'd get a refund on my cc or would get on board credit. If I get onboard credit, will that show up when I log onto www.royalcaribbean.com and pull up my cruise, and if so, when? Or will they credit my credit card since I now overpaid? Rare little britain Posted June 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) Price drops after final payment are refunded as obc - non refundable… it will show up on your onboard account. Personally I think it is unfair for it to be non refundable especially when if you get a price drop before final you get the cash back. Funky Fusion FoodsJ Posted June 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2022 It should show up on your cruiseplanner as OBC.
poocher Posted June 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2022 Even non refundable OBC can be cashed out in the casino.
LadyBerard Posted June 9, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted June 9, 2022 As I said, I refared yesterday. We paid the cruise in full, even though it was not due until the third week of June. We just booked the cruise two days ago. When should I expect to see the obc in the cruiseplanner?

My final payment date is in about a week and I have gotten 3 separate refunds on 1 sailing (1 received back to CC on 6/6, 2 more pending) since May 26th. I have to call in another this morning for a different sailing. Your new invoice should show like this if a refund was issued

It should be refunded as you were before final payment. It does not matter thst you paid in full.

Yes this was a casino booking so that is always paid in full the day you book it so As long as the price drops before the final payment date I get refunds.
