Maya Key vs Tabyana for snorkeling

We're looking at the Carnival excursions for either Maya Key or Tabyana Beach Break. Hoping for good snorkeling (not meh snorkeling) both from the beach and where guides can take us further out. We'll be docking at Mahogany Bay and are not interested in a 40 minute bus ride, so that is a big consideration.

Anyone have any thoughts between these two excursions?

Maya Key is a small island off Coxen Hole.  There is snorkeling but you need water shoes for the rocks and not sure given the marine traffic how much sea life you'll see now.  Also some animals and other amenities.  Crowds limited to ship excursions, but if 3-4 ships are in, it could be crowded. It is closer to Mahogany Bay than Tabayana which could easily be a 40 minute ride from MBCC.  But snorkeling, especially on a small boat just off shore is so much better on the West Bay.  Also you don't have to hang out at the place they drop you off, just need to be back there on time to get back to the ship. Lots of places and expanse.

If you don't need a beach, perhaps a snorkel excursion from Daniel's which is  much closer than West Bay.

Oh after the snorkel you could have a look at Mahogany Bay Beach.
