Rare Engineroom Snipe Posted September 22, 2022 #402 Share Posted September 22, 2022 25 minutes ago, Radio said: Captain Tore suggested that it was 2 reasons for the closure. A hydraulic leak was causing hydraulic fluid to seep into the water causing problems for the divers who are underwater during each show. The water was murky and it was difficult to see the swimmers. The murkiness was by hydraulic fluid. Everything seems to be repaired now. The Aqua80 show is now operating. Then the hydraulic fluid leak makes perfect sense because the fluid would have damaged the filtration system. They had to fix the leak, clean the entire pool, and replace the filter elements. Thank you for the follow up. I enjoy reading your posts.

Rare Radio Posted September 22, 2022 Author #406 Share Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) Hello everyone and good day. Well, I can describe the day in just one word. . . Hot The forecast called for 87f, but it feels much hotter. . . Maybe 95? I got off of the ship for a while, but only about 90 min. After that, it was time to come back. I wanted to explore around town a little and get a few more pics of the construction at Nassau Cruise Port. I really think that Nassau Cruise Port will bring back passenger confidence to Nassau when completed. They are doing much, much more than new painting and a few lights. Nassau Cruise Port is transforming the port area from the ground up. Everything will be new when completed. The company that is doing this(GPH) has done this several times in ports worldwide, and the results are stunning. I should be back in Jan 2023 for B2B on Anthem of the Seas, and I am looking forward to seeing more progress. We are scheduled to leave Nassau this afternoon at 5PM to have 2 full relaxing days at sea, before when finish at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ. I have 2 more days at sea to do more stuff! Here are a few pics. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Freedom of the Seas has joined us today The NEW piers are very wide We approach the new Arrivals Terminal It looks massive These will be Vendor Kiosks We are at the farthest pier from the port The Straw market is staying I think The Bearded Clam Bar and Grill was very busy Hmm. . . may I should get some coffee. This is not Nassau Police. . .it is the Tourist Police Dept. The street side of the pier shows something that I'm not certain about. . . We enter the port area here. Heading back to the ship, I see a lot of work going on. Water and shade await Oasis of the Seas passengers I take the Escalator from Deck 2 to Deck 3 PXL_20220922_162847804.mp4 Say what you want about Nassau, but the water is beautiful. NAS.mp4 . The water is stunning . Edited September 22, 2022 by Radio
mo&fran Posted September 22, 2022 #407 Share Posted September 22, 2022 Thanks for the pier pictures. Looking at PTZTV , you don't think a lot is happening. Things are a lot different from my pictures from a year ago. I saw a least two cargo ships docked there that brought all of the containers and other supplies. Merion_Mom Posted September 22, 2022 #408 Share Posted September 22, 2022 Oasis is so far from the land that when you look out the window or on the pool deck, Atlantis looks very close. For anyone who has been here before, that's a big difference. I hope that they are planning on running trams. 🤞 It was soooooo hot.............I stayed on board in the airconditioning! I agree with Radio - probably closer to 95 AND probably 95% humidity. <wilt>

For now they have golf carts. The line can be long depending on how many ships at port.
Sunshine3601 Posted September 23, 2022 #413 Share Posted September 23, 2022 Based on your photos a lot of work has been since I was there beginning of September. When I was there they didn't have a roof on the walkway yet, that area was roped off. I had no idea the project was as big as the info/photos you provided. Should look amazing and be much easier to walk around town too.

Rare Radio Posted September 23, 2022 Author #424 Share Posted September 23, 2022 Hello everyone, and good morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas. Today is the first of two relaxing sea days going home. Oasis of the Seas woke up this morning with sunny skies with just a few clouds. The forecast calls for no rain today and temps in the mid 80s (f). Last night after dinner, I was able to see the wonderful Aquatheater show, Aqua80. I have seen this show several times, but it does not get old. All of the songs and performances still hold up. There are a lot of activities often scheduled for days at Sea, as well as many sales and promos going on. I may want to check out the 2 for $25 t-shirt promo going on at 10am. Many outdoor activities are also available at the pools, Flowrider, and Pickleball Court. Casino Royale opened yesterday after Nassau, and won't close until about 3am Sunday morning. Casino Royale on Deck 4 has been "Radio Friendly" for most of the cruise, but yesterday. . .not so much. Maybe I will give her another try later today. It appears that Hurricane Fiona may be causing some swells that are affecting the way Oasis of the Seas sails back to Cape Liberty. It is not serious, and things are fine when you're sitting down or laying down. Walking however, you can definitely feel the ship "rolling". Here are a few pics from last night and this morning. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Aqua80 was very good. Promenade Shopping last night. Lots of passengers shopping Early morning is my favorite time I love to watch the blue seas and blue skies. There aren't many passengers awake at sunrise. I went to Solarium Bistro this morning They have a great selection with less crowds Wayfinder Deck 9 Heading north, we have 2 more nights until we make it back to Cape Liberty. .
