Beagleluv6107 Posted September 28, 2022 Author #51 Share Posted September 28, 2022 These people just don’t get. They should have seen James Love on my Freedom cruise in April. That Love and Marriage show was rough. We made our way to the “White Party” and lucky me, I was dressed in white. I had no idea. In fact, this made me realize I hadn’t been checking the fun times. Time was flying by while we were actually doing nothing at all. I made a mental note to try harder. In the meantime, this white party was not doing much for me. If I wasn’t going to have any fun dancing (because no one would dance with me), I might as well move on to accomplish a goal of this cruise…. Alchemy! I left the gang and headed for a chocolate martini. Insert sighs of happiness. I took a pic of the menu and also realized the Red Frog was attached to Alchemy. I took my treasure back to the room so I could enjoy it peacefully later. That was quite the feat. I should have asked for it in a tall glass. I headed to the pizza line and saw my friends along the way. They said DH was in the deli line. I decided since I was alone, I’d take the first available pizza and it turned out to be the white garlic one. I dropped that off in the room and headed to find DH. He had just gotten his Rueben. We got back to our cabin, and it smelled of garlic. That white pizza was delish, and I had the whole thing to myself. Yeah me! I ran back up to the pool bar to get Hubby and I one last drink. My friend the Blue Long Island Lady was there. She was talking to a girl from Jersey that had went to college in NC but moved back to Jersey and has stayed ever since. I got back to the room with the drinks but by then DH was tired after looking up sports scores the whole time I was gone. He went right to sleep. No worries, I drank his drink. 😁 Up Next – Last Day Already – Sea Day
Beagleluv6107 Posted September 29, 2022 Author #52 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Day 4 – Sunday, August 14th – Our Last Day I was up at 7am and ready to roll. I was happy because by the time I made myself presentable, it was 8am and time to head to Red Frog…. Or was it?? NO!!! We switched back the time and now it was only 7am. Grrrr… I’ve got to talk to someone about this lack of beverages in the early morning hours. I dilly-dallied and took picks and walked around. Beagleluv6107 Posted September 29, 2022 Author #53 Share Posted September 29, 2022 I found the Serenity Bar. That looked like a great place for a drink later. Spoiler Alert – I never made it there. I completely forgot. We had our Bloody Mary’s at 8:05am. After all that waiting, it did not hit the spot. I had to switch over to a Tito’s and OJ. We ordered our table around 9am and it was ready at 9:23 – Table #600. When we got there, it was total chaos, no one knew where we were supposed to go. Even looking at my phone that said table #600 they didn’t know what to do. We ended up at #715 tucked in a corner by their workstation, which was fine, it was just a little weird. Beagleluv6107 Posted September 29, 2022 Author #54 Share Posted September 29, 2022 I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with salsa and sour cream. The server didn’t think I could get the salsa or sour cream, but she’d ask. I think both should automatically come with Huevos Rancheros!! DH ordered the steak again and said it was the best so far. Even better than his Prime Rib on elegant night. We went shopping for a while after breakfast. He found a magnet and I found some chocolate at Cherry on Top! We were back in the room at 10:55am. I thought about a nap, but this was our last day. I changed into a bathing suit and laid out with the girls. I took this funny picture. You know how we always hear about chair hogs? Well, these people decided to go find their own chairs and hog up the aisle. That didn’t last too long. As soon as they got up someone came along and put the chairs back. Beagleluv6107 Posted September 29, 2022 Author #55 Share Posted September 29, 2022 When Ryan Rose started the Groove for St. Jude it was time for a beer! I wish I had a better picture of Ryan. He was wearing a teenage mutant ninja turtle shirt. Too Funny. DH made his way to his first burger. He didn’t feel like waiting in the obnoxiously long Mongolian Wok line. My friend went at noon when they opened and still waited 1 hour. The assistant CD came out to do the announcing of the ice carving. OMG was she terrible. You could not understand 1 word and she screamed the whole time. It was tough. I also wonder why they don’t project that up onto the big screen for everyone to see. Only the first 20 people jammed around the ice guy could see anything. I went up a deck to get a picture and everyone there was hovering around the perimeter and gave me a dirty look like I was trying to steal their spot. I nursed a few beers over ice because they were so warm. Eventually I needed food, so I got my second Funderstruck Burger. This time I asked for extra nacho cheese. I do like that cheese.

Beagleluv6107 Posted October 3, 2022 Author #58 Share Posted October 3, 2022 After that late lunch, we just hung out at the Red Frog for a few hours. Eventually, I went back to the cabin for a shower and met DH and the squad at karaoke. Oh boy, we had some bad singers… I mean really bad. But what I loved was that the crowd was so sweet. They cheered and applauded and made the singers feel good. That was nice to see. One of our couples decided to skip the MDR and headed for The Seafood Shack. Here’s a pic of their shrimp. Here’s one last look at my amazing MDR view!!
Beagleluv6107 Posted October 3, 2022 Author #59 Share Posted October 3, 2022 I had the steak ale and cheddar soup and a cobb salad. DH had the chicken tenders and fried chicken. I had the CMC and tonight it was perfect.
Beagleluv6107 Posted October 3, 2022 Author #60 Share Posted October 3, 2022 We met everyone at the back pool bar about 7:30. I took a lil water break! My dear husband reminded me that the sun was about to set. I ran up to deck 11 and grabbed a few pics. Of course, he wasn’t going to come up with me but that’s ok. One of the girls did and we took a bunch of pics.

Beagleluv6107 Posted October 3, 2022 Author #62 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Ok, enough water!! We had decided to just do the deli and skip the late-night pizza. The deli closes at 11 so I kept an eye on the time. Somehow the night got away from us, and it was 10:40pm. I can’t believe we had sat at the back bar that whole time. Then we headed for sandwiches. DH got the buffalo chicken, and I tried the wrap and some cookies. I just dropped off my stuff to the room and headed back to the bar for my chocolate martini. I got to visit with my Blue Long Island Lady. She ended up talking me into something different. It had chocolate and it was potent. I forgot a pic. I ended up staying for 1 more and hit my 15. Whew, what a night! Glad I had some food waiting for me in the cabin!! Up Next – Back to Reality
Beagleluv6107 Posted October 3, 2022 Author #63 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Day 5 – Monday, August 15th – Heading Home We never pack a thing the night before so when the alarm went off at 6am, I had to motivate quickly. We had everything ready by 6:45am. We all agreed the night before that we would leave our cabins to get off the ship at 8am. We had plenty of time. We headed to the lido and hubby wanted an omelet. I grabbed a burrito and took it back to the room with me. I didn’t get the egg but this time I tried the potatoes. They were more like fried little pieces of salty crispiness. Not bad! DH came back with his food, ate, and was ready to leave. So much for me having a few minutes to relax and get it together. Off we went. Debarking was easy and fast, and we were at the car waiting at 7:58am. Once we got away from the bumper-to-bumper traffic at the port area, our drive home was smooth. It was another successful trip with The Squad! We unpacked and rushed off to Hooters for one last splurge before the return to work. This is the 3rd time we have done this after coming home from a vacation. It might become a ritual now. Here’s what I brought home from the trip… I have no idea what this Platinum gift from Carnival was. What a shame they can’t give a decent gift. Final Thoughts: · We had a great time!!! · We loved Bermuda · I do not like interior rooms! · Food was ok – The crowded venues really caused complaints from others on board · I never got that Milkshake! · We never went to comedy but heard the only comedian they had wasn’t good · Not opening the Red Frog until 8am does not work for me. · There was a sewage smell from time to time. · Coming from the dining room after breakfast on the last sea day, there was a leak above our heads standing by the elevators. That was concerning. · I heard complaints of rude people, but I never encountered a problem. · The Magic is not my favorite ship, but I would sail on her again without hesitation just to be on a cruise. The same with an interior room. If it gets me on board… I’ll do it 😊 Thank you all for taking the time to follow along. I really love doing trip reports. We are doing a land trip to the west coast and I’m not taking my camera or my notebook because I have no one to tell about our adventures. That’s why I love Cruise Critic so I can share all this cruising fun. Thanks again for reading and happy cruising to you!!!
