exlandlubber Posted October 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2022 Hello everyone! I always get such great tips on this site and I’m hoping I’ll get lucky again. We’re doing a 7 day Western Caribbean on the Splendor from 12/13-20 and I was hoping to buy some really great coffee if possible. My favorite of all time was the Jamaica Blue Mountain about 30 years ago but I doubt I can find that anymore in the form we were able to get it. (Picked and ground that morning!) Other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you as always for the board’s wonderful members’ contributions.

Wendy The Wanderer Posted October 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2022 I presume you're not stopping in Colombia. They sold coffee on the dock there.
exlandlubber Posted October 2, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted October 2, 2022 No, Wendy, afraid not. Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Harvest Caye in Belize are the ports. Seaknots, I appreciate the humor, but I don’t even buy Starbucks here! Never cared for it.
exlandlubber Posted October 2, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted October 2, 2022 And Flossie, thanks very much for the recommendation, but at $140 for 16 oz I’m hoping to find something a little cheaper. I know it’s authentic though - it has to be at that price😬
Rare RachelG Posted October 2, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2022 The ports you are visiting are not going to have great coffee for sail. None are coffee growing areas
seniormom Posted October 4, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 4, 2022 We went on a mission trip to Honduras several years ago and fell in love with the coffee. We brought home several bags. It was Cafe Oro. We weren't in Roatan, but I would imagine you could get some there. In fact, I'm glad you mentioned it as we will be looking for it when we are there in February!
