Rare cjwags Posted December 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2022 We recently booked a 2024 voyage on Riviera in Japan! We are currently booked in 7108 and 7110, (traveling with friends) thanks to many of you here who spoke highly of the extended balcony and "two sided" one in 7108. It was the last of the four with this configuration available. Thanks to those who posted pictures. Really helpful. Now comes my question... should I be worried about noise coming from the dining room or casino as they are directly below on deck six? We could upgrade to deck eight, but wouldn't have larger balcony. Would appreciate any insight you experts might have. 🙂

No noise from dining room or casino at all. Enjoy! Seachelt
Rare LHT28 Posted December 4, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2022 They would have to be some pretty noisy diners for you to hear them We have been in 7114 not a peep from below 😉
GerryL13 Posted December 5, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2022 I'm booked for 7112, but not until 2025. I chose it because it was over dining room and NOT casino. Then I noticed on the deck plan that the balcony appeared to be a bit larger. Sounds like that may be true. On a related note: anyone have any experience in a cabin with a connecting door? I'm booked on one (on Vista) for next year. Any noise issues in Oceania connecting cabins?
Redtravel Posted December 28, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2022 Lucky you. I love the extended verandas. They usually get booked quickly.

PelicanLvr Posted December 31, 2022 #15 Share Posted December 31, 2022 I believe all the aft extended balcony B3s are aft of the aft elevators...... all above the dining room. The casino seems quite a bit forward of that location on deck 5. Don't see the casino as a real issue for these cabins.

Let me get this straight. Are you saying that B3 cabins are more expensive than B2 cabins for the same cruise? Must be Marina or Riviera to be extended balcony. Proof please - naming the cruise will be sufficient. Don’t just disappear now.

Not what you said Susie. And it is the category that is more expensive, not the balcony. All B3 cost more than B4 All B2 cost more than B3 etc.

I'm sure you know what I was trying to say. Sheesh.

Well it's too late to go back and edit. We are all nitpicking here. Besides, almost everyone posting regularly here has been on O before and knows what is what. And few posters here book veranda cabins anyways so this issue won't concern or affect them.
