This week's Triumph review

I sailed on this ship about two years,a nd agree with Meredith's review. I had a week of dirty water in my cabin, dirty dishes in the restaurants, bugs in the icecubes, and other problems that I considered serious to the health and safety of its passengers. Carnival didn't take my comments at all seriously,and when I posted them here, I was for being negative and a complainer and even for having never posted before. It was my tenth cruise and the only one I ever had any complaints about. I can understand when something goes wrong, but I was most upset by the lack of concern by the ship's personnel. Thanks, Meredith, for telling it like it is!

I was with Guido, No dirty dishes, no dirty water, no bugs in the ice. WE left her in good shape for you Mama. And from the looks of all the scrubbing, cleaning and painting I saw she'll be in good shape when you board.

 

Sueur, I'm sorry if you had those problems two years ago, (I think that's what you said) but it's a little outdated to bring it up now.

I'm not picking but some people just look at life differently. I go cruising to have a good time and NOT worry about finding something wrong. There is always going to be something "wrong" if you're looking for it. Then again I'm also the type of person to pick up garbage if I see it and not say "why don't they clean this place up" as I walk by. You only get out of life what you contribute. It's just too short a journey.

I totally agree. Yes I recognize you pay for a cruise and have certain expectations--everybody should--now expecting perfection is a different matter, but hey I am middle school teacher--my tolerance and patience for things are warped!

wow was also on triumph april 17 though the ship looked great...new rugs all over the place much improved since last october....deck 5 was looking great everything shinning like crazy.....wow.....come out come who ever you are...

I just got off May 22. Ship was clean and no problems what so ever. Around buffets someone was always cleaning up messes left behind. They were constantly cleaning some area. Have no idea what this person is talking about.

We were on the Triumph on April 24th and thought everything was nearly perfect. This was out 9th cruise, so we've seen it all. It amazes me when people find search to find something to complain about.

 

Was the food hot, excellent and served at the exact same time every night?? To be honest, I COULDN'T TELL YOU! All I know is that the memory I have is of good food, great service and a beautiful ship.

 

We LOVED the Triumph and I'd say by the number of positive posts I've seen lately, the ones who DIDN'T enjoy their cruise are definitely in the minority.

Just wanted to add that I never said I had a "bad" time on the cruise - just some problems. Also, there were many above and beyond absolutely wonderful crew members.

 

So were they "absolutely wonderful" or not concerned?

 

I know good, bad and ugly things can and do happen...One thing you might consider is if what you are saying isn't true, it could and might be considered libel by Carnival. Your post makes the ship sound like a sailing bucket of plague. I'd be concerned from a legal standpoint making a statement like you did.

Okay, if this is true why hasn't sueru come back to defend, clarify, or enlighten us as to this mysterious "Meredith" who so told "it like it is! Perhaps poor sueru got her ships or cruise lines mixed up! For someone with ONLY 4 post, I would think she would want to provide more details. It is so funny how perusers of these boards finally jump in and post something and never come back! I will be sailing with shabcruzn (she's my baby sister), and our group has done many sailings on Carnival and no matter how old the ship was or is the conditions have never been to the conditions describe by sueru. We are looking forward to our Cruise and from all of the reviews and recommendations we know the Triumph will be well worth the wait!
