Rare ak1004 Posted January 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Just checked few random Mediterranean itineraries: And for D2D, air credit of $1,150 CAD is offered, so it actually becomes cheaper than P2P. Anyone can explain this phenomenon?
Observer Posted January 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2023 This makes no sense at all to me. I wonder if it is an error.
Nuka Posted January 28, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Thanks for highlighting this. I booked on the Spirit today because of this!

Once the deposit is paid, the cruise company cannot retrospectively change your price. Of course they might try, but if it became too too much of a legal war, they should refund the entire deposit. Different countries would also have their own consumer rights to not allow retrospective price hikes. phil1107 Posted March 3, 2023 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2023 Just checked the latest C$ prices. The 1st example Venice to Rome is now listed as DTD $9200, PTP $6950. Maybe it was an error that has now been corrected.

It went to $8,400 CAD a week later (which matched $6,700 USD on the US website), and on March 1st it went to $9,200 CAD.
sritalian Posted July 14, 2023 #15 Share Posted July 14, 2023 So, ak1004, just wondering if this turned out to be a mistake on the part of Silversea, which they honoured, or did they try to get you to pay the higher price?

Well, we have the booking at $6,700 CAD. I assume this is the price.. It's $10,900 CAD now.. I still don't know if it was a mistake, or from time to time they have those promotions of Canadian dollar at par.. I have seen it couple more times since then.
