proposal Posted February 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2023 I'm not sure if this is standard or not but EOS has turned around and headed back to dry dock... I thought there was another ship scheduled to come in right behind it, maybe they had an issue or is this routine?
laflivluv Posted February 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Could be that they discovered a problem at sea and need to go back to Cadiz to fix something.
proposal Posted February 27, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted February 27, 2023 Kind of what I was thinking but I don't follow too many ships at dry dock, I wonder if this will delay their next sailing?
Rare moposh Posted February 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2023 I'm scheduled to sail on Explorer April 1. I hope all is well.
swoopy2110 Posted February 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2023 I'd get them to have a look at that blue coloured ship too that has decided to go rogue and started ploughing through land towards Malaga.

That's Royals newest ship that hasn't been released yet.. Tractor of the Land! Plowing a field near you in 2025. All speciality restaurants are corn infused specialities! Puts a real twist on "chair hogs"! Edited February 27, 2023 by colesc15 1

Paint, slides maybe some new carpet? Not worth $800 or $900 increase from Jan prices.

Spurschick Posted February 28, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Just hope they got rid of the moths. We had a great cruise last year on her with the exception of all the moths flying around the cabin. They spent multiple days trying to work out where they were coming from. Just curious. Don't follow too many Dry Docks. Fuel in Gib is tax free. Cheapest place to get fuel in Europe. Even for cars in town. Still not as cheap as Us though. Sailing into Gib is a sight with all the cargo and tankers in the bay.
Rare twangster Posted February 28, 2023 #14 Share Posted February 28, 2023 After a major modification like water slides they probably had to validate the weight and balance engineering. If I'm not mistaken that involves some testing and equipment that would then need to be removed before returning to service.
Rare shof515 Posted February 28, 2023 #15 Share Posted February 28, 2023 To me it looks like the captain is taking the ship for a test drive to make sure everything is in 10000% fully working order. Very similar to what your mechanic does when they finish repairing your car now they confirmed everything is 10000% working order they can return to port to supply the ship with provisions for the transatlantic crossing
