Rare JGmf Posted March 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2023 Two questions regarding casino on Emerald Princess: What table games do they have? I'm assuming BJ with various rules depending on table minimums, roulette, and craps; but how about 3-card, Pai Gow (with bonus), and Ultimate Texas Hold'Em? If you charge casino play to your room is there a flat or percentage-based fee? I'm assuming there is, but the FAQ on the Princess website is silent on this. Thanks a lot for your assistance. I can only answer the second question, I’ve never seen a fee when I have transferred from my room/medallion to the casino on Princess. I transferred $50 and the charge was $50. I have heard other lines do this. Edited March 18, 2023 by jaycruising Spelling

Not sure about the card games, however we haven't seen minimums raised at night/peak times (like Vegas does) No fee when charging casino play on Emerald last month Edited March 18, 2023 by startedwithamouse
Rare JGmf Posted March 18, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted March 18, 2023 No fee?? Wow, thanks for the information folks. Charge to room, no fee, earn points on my credit card as well? I'll take that any day. Way better than using ATM and getting assessed a withdrawal fee.

DallasGuy75219 Posted March 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted March 18, 2023 I'm not a table player (just slots) but am pretty sure you can only charge your room with no fee on slots, not tables. For everyone making a blanket statement that there is no fee to charge you room, have your personally experienced this onboard at table games (and on a regular, not VIP casino, cruise)? Rake is 12.5%, don't recall the max.

roadster08 Posted March 19, 2023 #15 Share Posted March 19, 2023 Curious about casino play that some of you experienced players might answer. On previous cruises on other lines I got feeling that casino was a little looser with wins at beginning of cruise than near the end, particularly more so on first night. Was I just imagining that? Rare JGmf Posted March 19, 2023 Author #16 Share Posted March 19, 2023 @KarmaCruisers Thanks a lot for the reporting on table games. Kind of disappointed, but I realize that the casino is small. Regardless, I'll have fun and likely lose more than I want to! 3 hours ago, roadster08 said: Curious about casino play that some of you experienced players might answer. Was I just imagining that? @roadster08 Yeah, just imagining that. The machines are pre-programmed with whatever payout percentages were established. There's no online slider option for management to loosen or tighten them. Hopefully you (and me too!) hit a jackpot one of these cruises!

Was I just imagining that? It's completely anecdotal. I won a $17k+ jackpot on the Sky in November. First time in 60+ cruises I've ever had a hand pay due to winning $1,200+, and that happened on the 4th night of a 7 night cruise. For everyone that does well on the first night there's someone else that does well later in the cruise or even on the last night.

Pilot53 Posted May 24, 2023 #19 Share Posted May 24, 2023 I take it that you can use cash in both the machines and table games? I do not like to gamble on credit cards. Only bring what I am willing to lose.

Mike45LC Posted May 25, 2023 #21 Share Posted May 25, 2023 I put a $100 bill into a slot machine. When I was done with that machine, I saved the remaining balance to my “account.“ I then moved to another machine and transferred that balance to the next machine. When I was done for the evening, I could have gone to the cage and gotten my cash back, but instead, I left the balance on my “account“ to use the next day. I continue to feed the slot machines and kept whatever balance there was on my “account“ until the last night, when I cashed it all out. Unfortunately, the amount I cashed out was less than the amount I fed in. Shipboard, there is no “ticket in, tictet out” system. It is convenient. Nothing was charged to my shipboard account, nothing was charged to my credit cards. Just remember to cash out at the end of your trip. The night before, not the morning of, disembarkation. I hope you win!!
