Cruising from Miami to Puerto Plata & Bimini in early June ...What to expect

We have cruised quite a bit, but never in early June from Miami.  I remember freezing on deck in the evenings in Nov and early December.  

Should I prepare for being cold on deck on early June evenings?

A quick Google search for June weather Miami, shows common temps in the upper 80s. I doubt you will feel cold, but everyone is different.

June will be hot and humid in the daytime and not very cool in the evening, though a moving ship keeps things cooler.

Your signature says Tampa, so however you feel at home on June evenings should be similar to what you'd feel on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, minus the sea breeze.

I remember having a light sweater and being really cold when the ship was sailing in November and December....Very windy. 

 

Wondering if it will be the same way in June?

Miami can be extremely hot in June. However, a cruise ship at sea is both windy and cooler than land, especially in the evenings. Dress for summer but have something to layer with … jacket, sweater. Light slacks are often better than shorts in the evening. Also, keep in mind the air conditioning on cruise ships is too cold, in my opinion so dress accordingly.
