Two Americans on a South America Cruise with Costa - would not recommend

This negative review was posted 13 years ago. I am writing this post in July, 2023. We just completed a Costa Cruise in Northern Europe (Norway). There were less than 10 native English speakers on board, and everything was announced in English along with four other languages. Everything presented publicly was presented in multiple languages. All daily programs were printed in different language editions, including English. We happen to speak all the languages used on the ship, but English was nowhere neglected. And we took shore excursions all in English--even when we were the only native English speakers on the tour (there were many Dutch speakers). We had a fantastic time on the ship, with excellent food and entertainment and were catered to extensively. As U.S. Citizens, the ship even hosted a 4th of July party just for us. This cruise line may have changed its approach since 2010 to cater to English speakers more extensively. It offers tremendous value for money, great charm and hospitality, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, I was under the impression that the original post was from this year.
