Rare Lionesss Posted May 31 #1 Share Posted May 31 This post was recognized by LauraS! "And another from Lioness! Thank you for generously sharing your time at sea with everyone at Cruise Critic!" Lionesss was awarded the badge '"Live from...."' and 5 points. This will be our 10th sailing on Miss Allure and once again enjoying a CLS. Has been a wild and crazy year so far. So this is our cruise to relax, lay back and just go with the flow. Minimal planning, few excursions. Just taking our time. We were surprised when Allure was relocated to a new port …… but I guess RCI had to pick a ship to go and as a groupie we too shall follow. To begin with, this is our casino comped cruise and we booked it almost a year ago. Also we were able to upgrade to a CLS for a nominal fee. ( yup pre-paid the cruise to the casino slot machines). Then the cost of all cabins really soared. We were sticker shocked at some of the rates. But happy we were locked in. So over the years, you win some and lose some. Here was one of more memorable winnings. So as the last few days of preparations are undertaken, packing and organizing being the most important, I better get moving so I will be ready. So wish me luck as I get my act together. And updates as well as “SUEISMS” could be posted at any time. So for now………SEA YOU😃 25
firefly333 Posted May 31 #2 Share Posted May 31 Cant wait to see your CLS and food. I'm booked on her this sept. Got a couple land trips to do first, then cruise again. Win a lot of money, lots of luck. I think I won $65 on allure, cant remember exactly but won, not lost money. Let us know of any lucky machines. Mine was close to the cashier I won on. irishgal432 Posted May 31 #7 Share Posted May 31 We just got off the Allure in an Aquatheater Suite. It was a fabulous trip. The crew was outstanding. They just brought back Blue Planet as well.

Rare h20skibum Posted May 31 #9 Share Posted May 31 Well, I see you changed the title, and just in time. I was ready to file a trademark infringement, since I used that Same old S, Different Day title for a live I did on Grandeur in 2019. 🤣🤣 Have a great cruise. Wish I was aboard with you, but I will have to follow along.

Rare abbydancer Posted June 1 #14 Share Posted June 1 I just booked a Crown Loft Suite (assume that's whtat CLS is?) on the Symphony for December. We're very experienced Princess cruises, and started sailing Celebrity in 2017, and now do most of our cruises on X. About a week and a half ago, I booked the Apex for mid December, and then, since I'm from California, I decided I didn't want to just fly to Florida for a 7 day cruise, I added 6 days on the Symphony before. We've never sailed Royal before, so this will be our first. I'm hoping this thread will give me lots of useful information. Thank you

Rare Lionesss Posted June 1 Author #16 Share Posted June 1 Good morning. Today as usual I have to be busy to make the time go faster after it has dragged for months waiting for this cruise to happen. Oh don’t get me wrong. This past March doing the Bella Cruise was an awesome experience. And I am just sad I cannot do Bella 2. Anyway. The one thing I want to share and I hope the Mods keep this post is….. Be thankful for CC. Other social media sites can be quite intimidating and do not share all the useful information that is presented on these boards. Some posters there are helpful, but a few are not and they just keep going on and on and on. Yes, I know at times posters here do not post nice, but it is dealt with. I can only hope the information I share is appreciated and in the event of some humor, it too can be tolerated. I will try to respond back in the event a question is asked and I can find the information. Now my posts and timing will be determined by a few factors. 1. The ability to access CC if connections stay accessible. 2. The assistance from the spouse for transferring pictures to me from camera. 3. The amount of alcohol consumed. Now being D+ that is 5 drinks during day. Being in a suite covers happy hour. And being signature covers casino. So who needs drink package. However we did get basic refreshment package for water and pop. (Not soda, it’s pop!). Ok. Getting ready for pedicure, gotta have those feets pretty for showing cankle pics. The one thing different for us is we are going to keep a log (tally) of all expenses. I want to see how much a “comped” cruise costs. Already paid for: Air Hotels before Transportation to port and back Upgade on comped cruise to CLS Refreshment package Chops dinner Roatan beach day Post NASA Houston tour. To be paid: Extra tips Casino ( no comment) Some souvenirs Ok. BYEEEEEEEE Sea ya 16
Rare BecciBoo Posted June 1 #17 Share Posted June 1 (edited) Thanks so much for the details, always good to know how things are changing pricewise and what to look out for. I have a question about Casino points. Just how much does one have to invest before you are given an invitation for a comp cruise? I follow The Traveling Gamblers on youtube and they always have a comp cruise coming up, of course they spend a lot of dollars in there, but I'm checking it out. Thx Edited June 1 by BecciBoo

Packed (lol), all stuff pulled, and putting in suitcases tonight. 2 large 2 Carryons 1 back pack. We do not do overly dress for formal night anymore, so that saves room. We are "business casual". Not taking our snorkel gear, using the excursion ones. And being in the medical profession, a ton of OTC as well as our prescription drugs. The first showing. We will just walk in to suite seats. But, we will not be going to Blue Planet. Saw it, and yes it is done very well, but after the opening scene we were uh bored, so we put up with it. The cast is awesome, show done well, but not to our liking. Glad we did see it though, once for us is enough. And the Aqua theatre show is one of the best ones for me. I am unable to tolerate a ton of flashing lights. I was unable to stay for the shows here on Oasis and Symphony because of lighting. We have seen ice show almost on every cruise, and will probably see again. Our new passion is trivia in schooners bar. I have MY pencils sharpened and ready to go. And end the day for a couple hours visiting the casino. Yup, only an evening player. Usually enough time to go through my budget of $$ for the night. Then time to watch people, and just chill. Some times I win, sometimes I lose, but usually have enough to keep playing with the return of credits from time to time. Take care
Rare Lionesss Posted June 1 Author #22 Share Posted June 1 Also, As I arrived for my pedicure the technician goes, what are you doing here? I look at her. She goes your appointment is for tomorrow at 9am. I go, my calendar says today, but no problem see you tomorrow. But I had to look when i got home. Here the master calendar on the wall still had May up, um I did have an appointment on the first Thursday in May Golly G, forgot today was the first day of June. Blame it on retirement, and never knowing what day it is. Better pay close attention to calendar in future. Time to get moving. Sea Ya

Rare Lionesss Posted June 1 Author #25 Share Posted June 1 So, I guess sailing the western Caribbean has its benefits over the next few days. The report also went on to say Florida is going to have a wet few days ahead. To all, be safe. Sea ya.
